Just did a comparison between pumping over at GP and Sgp for class 2 bike which consumes average 20L:

SGP

98 RON: S$1.73 per litre

20L x 1.73 = S$34.60

(with SPC 11% discount = S$30.80)

MYS petrol

98 RON: RM2.00 per litre (i think that's the rate; correct me if wrong)

20L x 2 = RM40.00 x 0.45 = S$18.00 (current exchange rate)

Sgp toll = S$1.20 (two-way)

Mys toll = RM2.60 x 0.45 = S$1.17 (two-way)

*Cost involve riding up and back = S$3.00

TOTAL cost of going for MYS Petrol = S$18 + S$1.20 + S$1.17 + S$3.00 = S$23.37

Savings:

34.60 - 23.37 = S$11.23 (or S$7.43 with discount)

Since most of us do not live in town - you'll have to factor in more distance travelled to get to 2nd link. And this means more $$ involve, less savings.

If you pump lesser than 20L, your savings will also be reduce because of same distance travelled to get to 2nd Link.

There's no wear-tear factored in; and have not factored in the mileage incurred which will affect re-sale value.

Therefore, how much savings will you get that's worth your time? You can also take into consideration the hourly-rate of pay you are getting and translate it into cost.

However, its still nice to ride up once in a while for leisure and food.

*(break-down:

- assume fuel consumption as 18km/L

- assume using Mys petrol all the time

Dist travelled from town to GP and back: 30km x 2way = 60km

Cost = 60km / 18km/L x RM2 x 0.45 = S$3.00)

White color? Bro, just think of FiFi - it'll be a bigger chore to maintain a white paint-work. A speck of dirt can be easily seen and if not cleaned the right way - it'll smear, making dirtier. With your work schedule, I doubt you can maintain the whiteness as much as it should be - may as well consider gray or silver - coz in the end it'll become that color...

agree. dats y i chose silver for vivien. starting still quite goot lart will wash it myself every weekend. then later wash every weekend at petrol station, then wash once in a few weeks. now no wash liao. haha...

knowing my bro, i tink silver or gunmetal is the best for him

Yah - for cars - solid black is as bad to maintain as white color. Gray or Silver is boring although its classy... how about GUNMETAL!!

Gunmetal maintainance is as good as black loh, sama sama, get dirty easily :p

Seem to me that alot of people having some reservation about going into 30's...and I seriously wonder why....hahaha, with all the ALC here and there and some rejecting the ideas of going into the 30's...for me, I'm seeing it an entire different point of view....you have everything almost in the stable moment, and probably some would be about starting another stage of life, which is good and this will help by becoming more mature....being mature doesn't mean u start to be antique but rather, one will start to think more sensibly and making decision more meticulously rather than the young days..splashing and dashing.....

So why not look forward for the golden moment of the years....30's....where you have both energy to enjoy the best out of it.....

Don't bomb me hor....i'm just commenting based on my personal experience....this is really best moment i ever had......and I'm starting to enjoy every moment now.....

The riders are ok la... ultimately its still how well a rider rides and treats the bike.

I am intrigue with the thrill to able to learn to handle different bikes to the same road condition. E.g. negotiating a bend using cubbie has lesser G than my prev Boxer although both at same speed.

This is a good point, cos i have ever think abt this point before.

But come to think of it, if u not earning at leisure hour (or not having any other specific program), how abt saving by pumping there.

Go there now oso dangerous. might kana some other things....
