Hi guys,

anyone of u using the PC3?

Any problem when uploading the map to PC3 with a serial port. Using a USB to serial connector, the program doesn't find the PC and I cant upload the map into it...Anyone have this problem since most laptop doesn't comes with serial port anymore...

I am staying in the east side. can anyone shred some light in tuning PC 3 manually.

I will be thankful if some helpful guys can help upload a the stock map into the PC3...many thks

the pc3 wif serial port hav a prog which is abit funny..

u hav to load a mapping in the prog 1st..

then u can extract the pc3 mapping out or insert the new mapping in..

the new mapping in yr case is stock mapping since u choose that..

you need a power source adapter for the pc3 when it's disconnected from your bike if you want to load a map from your pc. (otherwise the pc cannot detect the pc3 even if connected) check out dynojet's website for the part required.

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

oh ya..

i assume u bring yr laptop to yr bike, u hav to switch on yr bike like wat kaieiru say.. pc3 need a power source to work or insert map..

I purchased from someone with a full system on it. So when I installed onto my bike. I brought a USB to RS232 converter but the new program I dl from the net cant find PC so I guess USB converter doesnt work. Now I need the stock map

to be installed.

Anyone have an idea how to do a manual tuning? Cos when I rev the bike,PC showed neutral between rich and lean...Or anyone of you have a laptop that come with serial port? Many thanks...

that led light only shows the throttle position when you rev the bike...

it's not the state of tune of the bike.. :cool:

is the led indicator juz show the throttle position..

u turn more, the led will move up towards the rich end..

pm mi yr contact if u need help..

i stay bedok too..

bring yr laptop along too..

once u connect the pc3 to the laptop..

u hav to select the usb using the device manager..

then u need to add a protocol..

is the same if even u use serial port laptop..

hav to play wif the settings..

i oso encounter this problem..

but i forget wat i do to it..

erm.. from wat i noe.. u nid the powercommander to be powered up (some bikes need to juz on, some nid to be running)

 

after which, u nid to go to ur system manager (device manager) to check ur coms port. Some may set to some coms (com12) which the powercommander software cant detect. (max com 8) Select a com port dat is free of use from 1-8. After dat select the auto or the actual com port u had set dat the power commander is link to ur lap top. dat shd solve the issue..

your bike needs to be running for it to be detected if you are using pc3r :cool:

hmm.. if am not wrong.. the adaptor needs a driver (maybe) den after dat set the com port (1-8) den tata.. dat works for me la... =)
