R6 '00 need helped

i just bought a R6, but encountered a problem. the bike wouldnt not idle, i have to keep reving, making me look like a punk in the street.. once i stop rev, the bike will idle for 5 to 10 sec then die. i brought it to a shop, then they check le, tell me my compression pressure in each cylinder is low, about half of wat it suppose to be generating. they still dont know wat went wrong to cause the compression to drop. do anyone here help me find a solution?? do you think it is just the valve clearance?? or gasket or watever?? i needed help for this man.. they have been dragging too long to repair.. i want to "help" them in order to help myself get it back asap.

You sure it is not an electrical problem? Poor compression usually give lousy power and terrible milage. Typical R6 is about 16~17km/L for singapore riding.

Which workshop did you bring? There is a compression gauge to check

pressure of each cylinder. Did they use this gauge? If pressure test

fail, there might be many cause, eg: air leak through your piston ring

valve clearance drifted...etc. If really they can't solve you have to find

other mechanic.

increase ur idling speed???i also have dis problem....start bike liao...den left to idle..the engine get softer n softer,,,den die....have to keep reving a bit to keep the engine going......but i cant find the idling speed switch...any lagenda riders out there to help mi??
