the pilot light of x1r can we install other color like red? is it legal on the road or on the inspection day itself?

Yamaha SparkZ 110 (2004 to 2008)

Yamaha X1-R 135 (June 2008 to Feb 2009)

Gilera ST Runner 200 (Feb 2009 to I dun knw...:confused:)

Q: Can install pilot or pole light other colors?

A: No 1 knows... but every 1s doing it... Mine is RED and KENDO is BLUE..

we actually got the mechanic to change the socket into a LED light...

doesn't eat much electricity.. doesn't FADE colour(UNLIKE THOSES CHEAPO BULBS)... but seriously no one knows legal or not.... o_O

 

Q:Is it legal OTR or on inspection day?

A: OH COME ONE!!!!! X1R 1st hand bikes no inspection 3YEARS!!!

3YEARS LA!!!! you ask yrself will ride 3years on an X1R?? :cheeky: even u put AEROPLANE lights maybe 2 and 1/2years oso will spoilt leh :slapforehead: ...... so no WORRIES... just carry on with the MOD-DINGs... I SARPOK you....:D

hi guys..got a qn here..i use to ride an auto bike so my gear changing skills is worn out i just wana know how far can we drag each gear without damaging d bike..usually d 1st gear i drag till 2okm/h 2nd gear up to 40km/h n 3rd gear 60km/h..n 4th all the way lah..so pls help me out koz i dowana damage the engine..btw i think i saw rainbow x @ ecp towards aye exiting somewhere at keppel rd a few days ago..do u spot me? red/white x1r? extreme left joining frm kpe..

The best is to keep the bike revving high. But not to high. coz the gear ratio are far apart.

1st gear till 30

2nd gear 50

3rd gear 80

4th gear 90 to 110

 

thats the best gear changing speed. esp with pillion.

oh ya.. i notice tat when i have pillion the bike feels heavy moz prob due to the early changing of gear perhaps..aite thnx..

haha. no abusing la. actually, if you really notice, changing the gears your way might increase petrol consumption. coz why? the engine has a bad low torque punch. 60km/h to 100km/h at gear 4 will take alot of time and petrol.

try to listen to the engine rpm when changing gears. you`ll notice the ratio are faaaaar apart.

 

btw, im riding spark with gpr. but still, same engine though
