Generally, many people says that all original(stock) tyres are slippery or just not good.

However, there is not scientific research yet to prove it's so. Even the most expensive tyres can cause slipness.

Just apply safety technique on the road, be it rain or shine. Full Concentration all time & don't last minute hard braking.

today is my last day as BK.. so sad to leave this post... muhahahaha.. stock tire really can make it..

I self skid when stopping at red light.. the bike is moving very slowly.. speedo is moving down from 20km/h to 15km/h... and both my leg is dragging with the floor.. suddenly my bike jus slip on the floor and i m standing still..

IRC T-spec is our stock tyre which is not as gd as michelin sporty & bridgestone BT39, try to feel the tyre and u will know the different between the 3 tyre. i've skidded lots of times using the stock tyre, even go in to sun plaza car park which is down slope when it raining, my bike just slight down even i applied brake, no friction at all!!

To be honest, stock tyres is the weaker one to compared to other brand new tyres like dunlop, continental, michellin, pirelli etc

Just want to emphasis the needs of being alert at all times & apply safety procedure.

Personally, I'll go with brand new tyres. To riders who still using stock tyres, don't be too worried (careful all time) & if you have the bucks, go change into brand new tyres for more solid gripping.

Stock X1-R is not exactly stable i have to agree. It went away after i changed to a good set of sport rims and tubeless tyres. 80 at front 90 at rear.

So i think the problem is on the tire.. just change the tire then ok a rdy..

I think big bike more stable because of its big tire.. and its weight make the CG lower..

Is it natural that there is slight difficulty to start the bike in the morning ? I mean, not sucessfu at first two attempt be it for electric or kick start.

Also, I've never used the choke before since there is no real threat in starting the bike.

It is normal for the bike to have some difficulty starting in morning as the engine is still very cold. The bike shld start normally after a few kick start.

If still difficult to start just open full throttle once to let some fuel to get into the carb and continue to kick start.

If still cant then open choke and kick start.. remember to pull the choke back to the original position.

If still can not then try to do a push start..
