It is normal for the bike to have some difficulty starting in morning as the engine is still very cold. The bike shld start normally after a few kick start.

 

Hav u guys experience 'kicking into air' feeling while doing kick start, the feel is like no resistance at all while kicking and no usual kickstart sound heard. I kick for about 6-7 times cannot start. But E-start can liao. Experience twice liao.

Yup.. when u didnt kick properly.. and it is normal.. dont worry.. I also don noe how to put into words.. will explain to u next meeting..

 

I think try to alternate between e-start and kick start when starting the bike.. cause if your e-start malfunction u still noe how to kick start.. just practice kick start now and then...

every brand of tyre have range and of cos yamaha will cut cost using the low range one in order to earn $, i've gather a few brand which we can use for our bike, IRC Wing NR77 S (For Racing), Michelin Sporty, Bridgestone battlelax BT39.all very gd. can feel the stickyness on the tyre. for the IRC tire must get the one NR77S ending with "S" if no "S" means normal tyre. okie? also tyre have to look for the year of manufacture year & month at the side of the tyre, (0607) means 6th weeks of years o7. u'll know wat i means? if tyre kept too long will be si ne (dead rubber) get it?

I usually kick twice or thrice while the engine still off. then I on the ignition and kick start once, and its ready to fly...

 

I learn this techniques from krr riders who usually have problems starting their bike if the bike is cold.

in the morning i only kick once and it start...

in the night maybe near water place....

after a long chit chat it will become hard to kick start...

 

as 4 the bro above...

during kick start if u hold down ur clutc, den u kick start feel air kicking...

Yes, this method is relable. The technique was also use to start 2-Stroke Bike and XR / WR 400.

For me only kick start 1 can a rdy.. maybe rainy day then need a few kick more..

BTW KRR is a 2 strok bike ...!!!!

 

X1R is 4 strok bike ............!!!!

 

for dirt bikes thats a whole diff story.....CHEERS!!!
