Very hard to find lor, almost everyone have bad experience in different shop, if worry just go around those in Alexandra Village. Ask around don't be intmidated, at time spend a bit more for the sake of your bike & yourself.

theres a few motordiams in the west area.. depend on which area u r staying. anyway at bukit merah.. alexandra village opp queensway, a lot of motorshops where u can find. u can just check around any of the shop there. one motordiam that r popular with pppl are hock kim leong or HKL. the boss name is benny.. some call him just ah bee. the price r gd.. can be bargain with him. always deal with him directly for price. one gd thing is that if u just come down his shop even w/o buying anything or doing ur bike there.. just for a chat he will chat with u if hes not busy. if theres a free items available if u ask him.. he will just give u. for the mechanics.. cant give 100%. depend which mechanic u ask for to do ur bike. best go for those that look older experienced mechanic. some of them r newbie working at hkl.. some r have been working there long. mayb u can test & trial.. then stick to one mechanic that u r comfortable with & satisfied with their workmanship.

actually for bike servicing most of the shop will give u around the same price lah, i think u wont find one that is super Ex or super Cheap 1. By the way wat class bike u riding, if riding very big bike then better find one thats abit well known, if 2B bike i think all shop can make it, but if u are talking about repair, i think west is bukit merah. bukit batok area i think all not so good.

I am riding a Shadow 1100... That is why I am a bit particular about the shop cause I sometime do some mods on my bike and good mechanic is a must... My previous mechanic has quit his job and gone back to malaysia:cry: ...

Like that u can forget abt Dexing and hu chin at bukit batok. I think at west will only be at alexandra village nia. Seng motor which is also universal motor at alexandra village sells alot of shadow, but not sure if they can do a good job.

I have sent my bike to 3 times to Seng Motor(Universal workshop) for repair.

1.Service rear brake caliper and rear master cylinder serving $90 (GSXR750)

2.Change oem frnt sprocket and EK gold o-ring chain $190 neg to $170 (GSXR750)

3.Change fork oil seal. $20 ea fork but I bring my parts (Bandit 400)

The mechanic are competant and workmanship is good, I am very satisfy.

Look for Michael and tell him your bike problem and settle on the price first before proceeding for the work, you dont want to have a shock later when receive the bill.

Hi nqh71

regarding bikeshops in the west side, i previously complied a list before.

the list is really in the west, cos i don't really consider Alexander Village west side.

anyway, in Alexander Village, i being to HKL and Racewerks, i would recommend

Racewerks because the mechs pay detailed attention to your bike problem.

For HKL, i don't wanna comment, you want my i mean....

For the list below:

i been to:

1. Jalan Tukang -> normal normal

2. ASPhoon -> recommended to fix accessories and small problems only

but bro, you bike is a Shadow 1100 babe, i understand you want a good mech to attend to, but really i felt that there is really any reputable mechs in the west side, may you like to try at Planet Motors, Loois or even K&T (Clifford)?

I personally like hua chin's service and their dedicate work. Althought i dun know how good their skills are in repairing big bikes or modification , but i like the way they handle our bikes example like changing of spockets, engine oil , ect.

I have tried tat HXXchIX shop.. really customer service.. during my SP days.. change a brake pad take almost 4 hours.. ya they pay very close attention, but down point is they'll nv forcus on ur bike alone.. they will like 1 person handle 3-4 bikes.. and it becomes long waiting time..
