Vespa LX150 FBG4710Y for sale - SCAM

Possible scam alert on Gumtree Singapore's Classified - Motorbikes and Scooters section. Someone in Malaysia is selling a Singapore registered Vespa LX150 with license plate FBG4710Y. The seller requests for your full name, address and IC number and offers an attractive selling price (less than half the price for a new bike) for a 1.5yr old Vespa. If it is too good to be true, it probably isn't. Please share to find the real owner, then we can make more people aware and try to nab the scammer (or at least prevent people from falling into the scam by transfering money to him/her)!

Emailed the seller. Bike seems to be registered here but shipped to Kota Kinabalu. Claims he will ship it back for $3,200.

 

Also so claims to be ex-footballer in Singapore.

That is why I am trying to find the REAL owner of FBG4710Y. I highly doubt the bike is actually in Malaysia. Or that FBG4710Y belongs to this 'ex-footballer'.

Let's all help find the actual owner so the owner can make a police report. Hopefully no gullible people go transfer money to these blady online scammers...

Mark here, an Australian expatriate whom i think you contacted my wife rightly for the purchase of this bike, do note that it was purchased from its first owner during our 3 years stay in Singapore as its an 1983 Italian model Vespa PX 200E , and it registered there in Singapore with number Plate : FW841Y,also everything is in tact as the bike has all original parts and in perfect tict-top condition but due to my job as an engineer i moved to Labuan,Borneo Malaysia working most times offshore for Oil and Gas and here is a duty free island so they have strict restrictions for imported goods and cargo so its practically impossible to use it there here in Malaysia, it has already been registered in Singapore with number plate FW841Y reasons why i am looking for a buyer back there in Singapore whom can purchase it ,so no need to worry about the taxes and all as its just a re-entry back to Singapore as its Singapore legal bike so you wouldn't have to pay all of this

 

As you can rightly see from the pictures attached to you the bikes is a very beautiful piece as has been garage kept most of the time in its box all and rarely saw any raindrops as per the wet weather recently in Singapore, it has a very low mile age of just 13716 Kilometers and also no scrate and accident free,all original parts and well restored and starts each time perfectly ,new wires, new cables, new body work, new engine and nice paint with new tires and wheels. Great condition, good for the road and comes with all documents as it was registered in Singapore with number plate: FW841Y and the COE is valid still 06 Jan 2023 also and just the Renewable Road tax that expires Feb 2015,it comes Inclusively with an official Vespa/Piaggio helmet .

 

All is is was such a beauty for my PX 200E Vespa Classic early 2000's Model which i have no choice but to give away now as per this unforeseen situation as per the regulations in Malaysia so i am willing to sell it at just $3400 as i wanna just recover back the fund paid for the purchase of this bike from its previous owner so if your interested in it and cant easily come here to Labuan,Borneo Malaysia to view it, I can easily ship it delivery to you with home delivery and all expenses taken care by myself and also perform the certificate of Ownership Transfer directly to your name but for this i will need the details as follows:

Yup, need IC. But some sellers would ask for deposit before the transfer. I will definitely not do so, too risky. Would be good practice if all will buy-sell without requirement for deposits.
