1. How/Where do you check the present COE prices for 2B bikes?

2. Has anyone bidded for COE for 2B bike recently, what is the present prices?

3. When you renew the COE, how many years more will it be renewed for? Can we decide on how many years we want to renew?

I am riding a NSR150SP and my bike's COE will be expiring in Nov 2009, I need to see how much will it cost to renew it and whether will it be worth it. Do you think it will be better to sell it off now at a cheaper price and buy another one OR renew the COE and sell at a higher price a few years later?

1. You may check the current COE prices at http://www.onemotoring.com.sg. Since you are enquiring about renewing your COE you may wanna check on the PQP price (note: QP is for 1st time COE bid ie. new vehicles).

2. As above.

3. There are 2 plans: 5 years and 10 years. Please note that if you extend by 5 years you will not be able to renew your COE for that vehicle ever again (ie. scrap or export are the only options though I'm not sure if de-registering your vehicle applies, citation please). For 10 years you may extend the COE again & again but must be 10 years consecutively.

Your current COE stands till 2009 then I'd suggest you either just sell it or get a new bike (if you are not sentimental about it). Checking the price of the COE now is too early. As the COE fluctuates every year, you will not know how high or low it may go. For example, in 1995 the COE for motorcycles was as low as $1 (!!!) but in 1997 it was as high as $3000 (!!!). Go figure, man!!! Hope this helps. Peace...

tHanks for the info! Got more questions though...

- Assuming that i think the PQP price is going to increase in the next few years, and i decide to bid for it now and i am successful. What happens to the remaining period on my existing COE?

The existing COE will be rebated on "paper value" to you...

And by the way, you don't have to bid for the PQP....

PQP = Prevailing Quota Premiums.

Prevailing Quota Premium (PQP) is for those who wish to extend the COE's of their vehicles. Vehicle owner does not need to bid for a COE as the PQP payable will be based on the moving average of the last 3 months Quota Premium results.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

The COE for motorcycles is for all classes and doen't vary for different cc..... so 2B is the same for class 2....... the current COE is already displayed by other bros in the thread.......

The part on whether to sell yr bike now, u have to decide yrself.... if u tink yr current ride is ok condition wise then mayb u can choose to renew yr COE when it goes down... otherwise u can choose to sell it now if u choose to upgrade..... or get another bike with better condition.........
