Yeap, the XS3600 ( .8 - 3.6amp) will charge faster than the XS800 ( .8amp) but if u onli need to charge 1 bike or vehicle then the XS800 will be sufficient. CTEK XS800 can charge any battery capacity onli slower for the bigger batteries.

BTW, CTEK chargers also support gel-type batteries .......... Another forumer read from the CTEK web site ..............thks mate....

Yes I can testify for the gel-battery charging.

I was getting intermitten ABS fault on cold starts, sent the bike to PML for diagnosis and they suspected it could be the battery voltage falling below the ABS threshold during cranking. One of the solution is to change a new battery but the current battery is less than 1 year old, so I decided to get a battery charger instead. The bike is using a BMW gel battery.

I got the XS800 from limbat 2 days ago, hooked it up to the bike last night and left it overnight (see picture). This morning the bike started up like a dream.. no more ABS fault.

I read from some US forums that by performing regular maintenance with a battery charger, their batteries are able to last up to 7 years! Totally unheard of, as I always thought the battery's life span is about 2 years at most. I believe the battery charger should be a good investment if it is able to prolong the battery life by that much!

After searching through the internet, I also realised that limbat's price for the CTEK chargers are much cheaper than online stores, and that's not even considering the international shipping cost yet!

56-260 is the other cable included in the box right? The one with 2 eyelets that can be bolted on to the battery terminals yah? Yes I figured if I am going to use the charger on a regular basis I will have to install that. But I have to remove the fairing to access the battery terminals, and I was too lazy to do that last night so i used the clips instead. :p

So prices going up soon? Luckily I got mine already... :D

Yeap wif the 56-260 installed - future charging will be easier.

Good quality Battery wif proper regular maintenance with a battery charger, will last much longer. I also have a high traction battery for electric forklift, which is 7 years old now & still working like a dream.....

Most regular type chargers in the market - overcharge the battery - tt is the most common problem for user.

Have fun charging wif yr CTEK .................. cheers

My new battery like very strong, tried to charge but when I connect the CTEK shows 'green'... this means it's fully charged?

But I left it connected through the night, think the charger will do some kind of maintenance also when it's fully charged rite?

Yes, your battery is fully charged when the CTEK charger indicate "Green".

But when u leave it on thru the nite - the charger does a regular sensing to check on the status of yr battery & if necessary it will charge yr battery again. cheers

he say the spare batt is for the amp and speaker install in the bike

so i assume the spare batt is oso inside the bike right?

so while on the move listening to music the spare batt can also be charge

the spare batt can be use for something else also

assuming the main batt and spare batt have the same voltage

Hello! Anyone there?

Ok - so u need the spare battery to power yr Hi-Fi system.... but if it is a powerful system, yr bike may not have enough ampere to charge it up ... mate. In this case, similarly like cars - u need a more powerful ( higher ampere ) alternator to charge yr battery not carry a spare battery. cheers
