Posting on SGBIKEMART - sharing my experience

Hi, Just want to share my experience with posting ads on SGBIKEMART.

 

Posted first ad, no problem. Posted second ad for another of my bike I selling. No response. Contacted them and they then said that because this is my second ad, I am a "trader" and so must pay for a paid ad. I was surprised. Told them that I do not trade bikes for a living, I have full time job and if I can show that how? No, because this is second time so I am a trader. So must be paid ad.

 

I told them that they should make it clear. They say "now very clear". Gave up trying to reason with them. I was unhappy that they did not set out their policy clearly and had wasted my time to submit an ad when they should have made it clear that it would be subject to payment because I would be deemed a "trader". I can understand that they make money from this; after all it is a business for them. My point is that their rules should be more transparent.

 

SBF is best. I'll stick with the tried and tested. Upz for SBF!

I appreciate that. My peeve was that they are not so clear about how subsequent ads have to be paid. I applied and they keep quiet and I had to chase on status then I learnt. Also this was not spelt out clearly in their site.

 

I understand that these sites are not running on charity; just that it could have been better managed.
