FS: Ducati TCX Race/Touring Boots $120

Hi all,

 

I have a pair of used track boots for sale with cosmetic damage. They were bought less than a year ago from Ducati Singapore and are actually Ducati branded boots made by TCX (based on the Sportour model which is a high level street/touring boot and mid level track boot).

 

Boots are a size 10 or 10.5 or 11. I have size 10.5 feet and they fit me very well. Trying is most welcome but do bring your own socks.

 

They have served me very well and have only been used on track, these do not see daily use. Maybe used 1-2 times a month since I purchased it.

 

Cosmetic damage:

 

1) Crashed once on the right side which scuffed the right toe section of the boot. The outer material layer is scuffed but there is no penetration and the toe box is not compromised

2) Heavy wear on the right side toe slider and the front bolt from the toe slider is lost

3) Toe slider on left side was torn off from repeated grinding on track. Unfortunately the mounting point for the left toe slider went off with it, so it is not possible to replace the toe slider anymore. I continued riding without the left toe slider but the problem is that at I am grinding the toe section heavily on both sides of my boot. The outer material and part of the sole has been grinded away but the toe box is still intact and uncompromised. See pics for more details

 

The rest of the boot is in excellent condition and undamaged.

 

The trouble for me is that if I keep using the boot on track I will destroy it and it will no longer be safe to use. I have thus decided to try and sell it while it is still safe for road use and try to recoup some money from the sale which I can put towards a track-oriented boot with a more robust toe slider system that holds up against heavy wear and is easily replaceable.

 

 

Please also note that Chiap Lee (agent for TCX) does not stock replacement toe sliders for this boot and Ducati Singapore is also unable to obtain a replacement set. So if you are the type to scrape your toes along with your knee sliders then I would not recommend this boot.

 

It would however, make an excellent touring boot still and is also suitable for those who are new to track riding and don't want to spend too much money.

 

I bought the boots for at least $280 last year and I am asking $120 for it. Price is definitely negotiable for serious parties. Please contact me at 96510495 if you're interested in it. Thanks for reading
