Help from Experienced Riders Needed!

I have this colleague who has a problem with his left leg, his feet is unable to shift gears like normal (unable to kick up).

He only has up to 2A licence, unable to get CL 2 due to this issue.

 

He is currently riding a modified honda shadow 400. (the gear shift is step front lever to drop gear, step rear lever to up gear)

 

Current issue is, his bike COE is ending, but to renew is 'almost' like getting brand new COE. He has the intentions to purchase a new bike like 400X. He is not interested in scooters (personal opinion).

 

I would like to find out what kind of options is available, like buying maybe 400X and modify to same kind of gear shifts? Where/who can i look for such modifications?

Else, what are the other possibility/options available?

I totally agree w Phang here. The rocking heel shifter option is probably the best configuration for him. It's usually a setup for cruisers. Eg In Class 2A, DragStar wld probably b a gd light cruiser

Hello, First motors welded for me a gear shift.

He used a RXZ gear shift and welded it to the rear of the gear shift so it works the same way as a rocket gear shift.
