Few weeks ago i had my faulty IU changed at VICOM. After changing my alarm stopped working. I thought i had it checked at a workshop when i had the time.

The following day i went for a petrol topup at the friendly JB place. I noticed my bike quite dirty so i had it washed at one of the several vehicle washing shops opp New York Hotel. After the guy sprayed finished on my bike i went home. I parked my bike n decided to try activating my alarm. To my alarm(pun intended), it worked!

Till a few days ago my friend had some trouble starting his bike. Coincidentally he's near my place n i'm free at the time so i went down to help him. Suspected the batt's dead, i took out my batt to try help him start his bike. After putting back my batt, i made sure everything's back in place(as in all the wires to the batt) n went home. And yes you've guessed it, the damn thing stops working again.

Does disconnecting the batt causes the alarm to go haywire? Coz both instances involve tampering with the batt. And how does a spray wash bring it back to life?

Today while doing EO change i asked the mech to take a look at it. After checking ard the wires n connections he said my sensor unit gone. :sian:

I'm tempted to go for another spray job in hopes of bringing it back to life again.

Any idea how or why guys??

Cannot work as in? when you use the remote to arm no respond or can arm but cannot activate?

what brand you using for your alarm?

mine sometime go haywire as i can use remote start.. it will somehow off the engine itself so i have to use key for safety wise...

sometime mine cannot arm or disarm (no respond from the main unit) is because the +ve connection got abit loose as i modify it so that when i lost my remote i still be able to ride...

but i just shift abit and everything is ok
