Faulty IU?

How do i determine if my IU is faulty?Because today,i was stuck at Yishun Bizhub.The screen showed me how much i have to pay but wouldn't open the barricade.I even manually inserted my card in to the machine but the machine still wouldn't open.The same thing happened at Chong Pang market carpark...

 

If its my IU fault,how was the sensor able to sense my IU and time spent in the carpark? Or was my card faulty?

 

Anyone experienced this before?And how did you fix it?

Trace the wire, There is an inline fuse. Replace that fuse.

If it still doesnt work, replace the unit.

 

If your unit is less than 5 years old, there is a warranty.

Yes there's warranty. In my 3 years of using my bike I replaced 3. All under warranty.

Maybe the gantry only accept cashcard? I've encountered this before.

Yea the old car parks only take cash card. If use mrt card in IU, even with enough balance the car park scanner won't be able to deduct the money from your mrt card.

oops.. Vicom. best tell them check for warranty. 5 yrs. sometimes they act blur and charge you even when still under warranty. my friend kenna.

Might be card problem. Actually nothing wrong with the card and nothing wrong with the IU. They just don't match.

There was once my IU couldn't read my cash card. I tried the card on other IUs and it worked fine. I tried my friends' cards on my IU and it worked fine. I went to get it checked at the inspection center and the guy there told me it happens sometimes. Even if u have used the card with no problems before, one day it might just stop working. What the guy told me was everyday u use, one day they also get tired of each other.
