Hondas tried V-twin on the Firestorm and SP-1

and proved to be a failure

Suzuki tried it on the TLR, TLS ans V-storm

and its no exception!!!

Seems like the ducatis are the only professional

into V-twin!!!

Considering that Colin Edwards won WSB using SP1 on it's first year would hardly constitute a failure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Year, Colin has continued to to be competitive using the SP2. Currently 4th with 8 or 9 (can't remember) races to go.

Still Bayliss seems unstoppable this year. Hopefully Nori Haga can do something about it.

Ah....the 998 is a beautiful bike.... I heard the price for the 998R is in the region of $60k.......a bit too much to pay for a bike..... Ducati did a bayliss replica and sold it on the internet.....

But I still prefer the 916....the bike that start it all.......soon my dear...... you will be mine.....

actually, the european bikes are not really suited for Singapore's tropical climate.....

Jap bikes still perform the best.... amd easier to maintain....take for example, the valve clearance for:

1. Ducati => 5,000km

2. Most Jap Bikes => 25,000km

This is just one....what about the expensive spare parts? Just got my screen for my ducati in....wait long long and pay high high..... that's what its all about......

No doubt the designs are nice....but in practical terms, not so practical..... but the 916SPS....... NICE...... I still want one though.....

Quite a good buy

but need to spend some $ to maintain it.

I still think its rather risky

bcos i seldom see good condition 916 anymore

Most of them have very loud idling sound

or engine oil leakages.

Have to view to believe.
