tyres used currently by members of ___RIDE___ (class 2 ones)

1. BT 021

2. Pilot Road2

3. Pilot Sports

All have pretty good user's feedback.

i am with pilot sports now... my wife's also noticed that the ride is more 'smooth' unlike touring tyres cos of the softer compound. less affected by uneven road surface.

also confidence to corner increased greatly. can go end-to-end on my 190/50. last time my pilot road still have about 2cm each end unused even when i retire them.

on wet roads also above average. can still do corner around 60 without feeling loosing of traction.

quite sure i will continue to stick with more 'sporty' tyres instead of going back to sports touring.

will let the rest share their reviews.

ok, better clarify first before kena :gun:. only mentioned about the class 2 bike tyres not because hao lian. but class 2 tyres and class 2A and class 2B tyres will perform differently even if they are the same model and make.

that is because of factors like the bike weight, produced torque. got to know this even when i was riding a S4. What is good for class 2 bike might not be good for class 2A and vice versa.

eg, if you put pilot road2 on S4, the S4 might not even generate enough warpping to warm up the tyres and produce the required traction.

dun like that lah... anyway, i really have to say the roads there are very 'striaght-forward' ususally is just go straight loh...

from highway all the way to the Sadao custom. then straight all the way to hatyai town. then only need to make one right turn to get along side with carrfour. then all the way straight to the hotel area...

i thought you would have remembered that the last time we when up... or maybe were too busy taking pics... kekeke...

corsa III is a bit too steep already lah... i have no money to buy such expensive tyres... my pilot sports + labour less than $400. kekeke...

actually, i have a different school of thought.

i used to think that since i dun go track or ride so hard, it will be better to use sports-touring tyres...

but now, i have slightly different thinking... sport touring tyres last too long already... most of my sport touring ended up harden before i can max out on the mileage (consider to waste $$$ also). in addition, you get problems from sports touring like tyre warpping, uneven wear on the side walls...

so i now rather use sports tyres and change more often then to go on sports touring...

of course, it is also that sport tyres are better when it comes to faster warm up, better braking effect, more confidence in cornering, etc...

i guess tyres profiles really goes with the style of riding... so, there is really no 'one-size-fits-all'... its individual preference...

er... not refering to the sort of 'tourist maps'... what i am looking for are really street directory type ones... so that can really go jalan on our own.

hahaha 312C... still cannot max out there... cos the steering not good... when corner till about 90kph can feel the steering vibrating notiability...

need to get a steering damper before trying out the top speed there again... kekeke...
