Does wrapping of exhaust with carbon fibre has any side effects? And any places who wrapped them cheap?

the side effects is that you can increase hp..

cool ride..

bassier and louder exhaust notes..

 

there is some concerns that it will increase the rusting of your pipes..but it will take many years to rust through..unless you got a shitty pipe to start with..

 

titanium wraps are l;ighter and thinner than fibre lass wraps..and it dries very easily..

when wrap is wet..and you are riding..the water in the wrap will evaporate away..a

air bubbles??? unles your wrap is dirty ie from the road grime..it is of no concern...

 

hp increases...the wrap maintain the exhaust gas temperature ..when it leaves the engine into the pipes..

compared to with no wrap the exhaust gas leaves the engine into the pipes and it will be cooled down by the pipe environment.

what this means is that the density of exhaust gas is higher than those with a wrap.

and result in velocity changes in the exhaust gas..ie

wrap pipe...high temperature n lighter density gas..high velocity leading to better discharge of the exhaust cycle..leading to better cooling of the engine..

.

ie engine runs cooler and you can run in more fuel in the engine thus increasing hp..

with increasing velocity of exhaust gas..off course the exhaus note will change. in this case louder and at lower frequencies..

 

thats the reason why hot rods and racing machines will have their exhaust wrapped..

not only for their cool look..but to have an advantage over those with no wraps n exhaust note with a loud rumbble

CF...is a thin film only....how long it can stay on the exhaust depends 0on the glue used.
