Anyone seen this slim pannier lid replacement for K1600 / 2014- R1200RT Panniers?

For local can use this to slim down the panniers for easy manoeuvre in city traffic.

Found this in Japan website, blady ex. Wonder if can find locally.

Heavy when parking. But once on the move its very agile. Smooth and endless torque. One of the best long distance tourer.

Heavy when doing slow speed lane split

If commute mainly on expressway it's fine, even with traffic jam. With side panniers off, no problem lane split. If you're always stuck in traffic CBD area, then get a kup kia. When I say parking, I am referring to legs down pushing bike around. But once moving even at walking pace, it is manageable, like most class 2 bikes. The GTL seat is quite low, more reassuring to put both feet flat on ground. I agree it is a heavy bike, similar to ST1300. Once you get used to the weight, there is nothing you can't handle ;)

BTW, teambhp, you ride K16?

It's at Tebrau. Near Jusco. Wearnes Automotive. They do servicing for SG BMW bikes as I have many friends who brought their GS there for servicing. Definitely save a lot considering the Sg:Myr rate.
