Do keep in mind there are people who needs a bike as a form of basic transport not for fun but because they have to be at work when there are no public transport services. Not everyone works a 9 to 5 job. Of course taking a taxi would be out of the question as it will cost so much more.

 

Even if it comes to the point the 'reckless' youngsters are unable to afford a bike do keep in mind we will still have the reckless m'sians filling up the roads. Possibly even more of these.

1st, i m not arguing but stressing my stand.

 

2nd, you are not here to discuss constructively.

 

3rd, you are only here to express your views full of elitism but all are empty talk. No solution only tell people to do this that.

 

4th, you talk about how nice the future will be but not the present problem being face on the ground. Say how nice a painting will be in front of a sheet of paper with nothing on it. Tell you to draw or even outline, you say pencil not sharp.

 

5th, if what u claim public transport is for the greater good, then y are u riding yourself and not switching to public but living your harley dream? Not leading by example? Why not give up your bike since going public is cheaper.

 

6th, you mislead readers here with your loan theory and this is not constructive hence i feel the need to set things right here.

 

7th, We certainly do not need people like you here to increase prices unnecessarily with your theories, especially when you are one who does not do what you preach with your $1,400 phantom which is your fun and time.

 

So only you value and only you know what is fun and time? Only your time is precious with your phantom, others go public. Failed miserably between needs and wants. If you have nothing constructive, keeping quiet is a virtue too. Be careful of what you asked for, it can bite you back. Empty vessel makes the most noise.

Meet a 64 years old uncle who leave in Singapore and Batam, he has been working as Security Guard for his entire life and only when he is 62 years old he is being kick out!

Reason, he don't know English, to be a Security Guard now he need to take course!

Everyone month about 20 over days he stay there and he only comes back for less then a week then go to Batam!

 

Another old uncle which is retire is staying in Sibu and her sis is staying in Singapore!

 

The above reason is only ONE cost of living here keep going up!

Also those awaiting for it to drop below 2k levels, I wouldnt hold my breath. Unless govt increase the quota levels agn then maybe possible.

Maybe next month early week SG50 celebration, the transport minister will announce all COE Category will only pay $50.00 or they will give 50% discount from the August result! haha Just for laught!

technically you need 8 data points to have a trend. But for kopishop talk, I'd say this is a start of the downtrend. There may be a couple of upwards results along the way but I'd say we will see an overall downward trend for the next 3 months. (you can quote me!!).

 

The group of buyers willing to pay around 6.5K has been exhausted... and they were less than a 100 bids between 6.3K & 5.5K. I'm expecting these 100 bidders + newly join demand at this price range will get their bike in 3 months which will setup COE to be in the 5.5K range in 3 months.

 

This COE amount of 5.5K could easily go down further within the same 3 months if these group of buyer having seen COE prices coming down set a lower expectation on the COE price which is quite likely to happen barring any changes in the financial/economic landscape

Existing stock or not, doesnt matter. I checked the engine & chassis number, date of production was early 2015. A good deal is still a good deal.

 

Their financial year was end of June, so salesguy wanted to close the deal fast, thats when can squeeze them hahah

Recently if you see the Facebook adverts, Mah Motor offering free COE for Triumph selected models, and 3.5k COE for selected models. Minerva also just had their free COE campaign on some models.

 

Dealerships all marketing very aggressively.

From my past experiences, seems like when you buy a new bike, then they go for bidding. Never experienced buying a new bike then on the spot or next day can collect the bike. They always went for the next bidding.
