Delaying in transfer.Nid advice

Dear all,2 weeks ago,i bought this 2nd hand bike frm a private owner.I paid for his remaining installment in FULL CASH to the bike shop.But i was told later that they haven got this form B ready...I was told that this form B is needed to transfer ownership. The shop told me to wait till nxt week until they got e form ready...So i waited for 1 week without riding e bike (Cuz cant get RT without ownership) and wat i get after 1 week is they nid more time...So they offered to renew the RT for me ( and yes,they ask me to pay) and they told me tat e form will b ready by this week..But they jus contacted my seller and said they CANT CONFIRM they will get e form so soon...And will confirm wif us again... I jus wanna noe izit true tat i nid e form B? If they still drag on,can i report e case?If possible,report to who?Police?

Wat is form B? aha i just transferred the bike also lei. but is i go personally la. Question them,why they need so long. Since you got the reciept, question them and demand a date. If not you can bring it up to case BUT your bike hopefully is not in the bikeshop. They can be nasty as well

Nope,the bike is wif me now. Jus that i cant transfer e ownerships makes things reali difficult for me to buy things (etc RT, season parking) and makes me worry...cuz not legally mine yet...I gonna question them tml..Thx for ur reply.Btw,the shop is located at Ubi Rd 1..Dunno if i shuld disclose e shop name...Wanted to warn all members of tat shop...

usually...once payment done...the bike is fully urs.....transfer name can be done in 10 mins at LTA if no queue....just fill up the form with the ex n new owner details n signature + transfer fee...done!!

tats wat i tink too..But i dunno y e shop say hav to wait for them to release this form 1st...i tink it is e form tht will prove that e bike has been fully paid for...Anyway,i went to e shop again.I onli saw 1 ger ther and when i question her abt my issue,she say she didn noe anything.So i ask her who should i ask,she say hav to check wif her in-charge,Lady J(which is the lady who ask me to wait for 1 more weeks). Whn i ask her for Lady J's number,she told me that her number is confidential..WTF!!! So i ask her to call Lady J and she claim that she will mail me e form...

I am reali irritated by this bike shop alrdy...gonna report police soon.The bike shop hav dragged for 3 weeks everytime sayin will confirm wif me again tml.And the nxt day when i go,the "in-charge" will b too "busy" and cant find her at all...Oh ya,i tink i gonna warn all bikers or those who wish to get a bike,wateva bike u gonna get,dun get it frm SuperBikes at ubi rd 1...Its a black shop.

Piece of advise.

 

This shop has lots of cases against them. If i were you, report to police if they do not settle the transfer for you within a week.

Yea,i sure will...They took my 2.1K cash (the $100 is for Road Tax,but till now i still haven receive it) i msg the person and she claim that e lawyer haven release that form B and will tell me again nxt week...Which will make it 4 weeks since i paid them...If nxt week i still didn receive any ans.i will report police...Veri sad to hav got into all these.Veri stressful.

theres no such thing as form b wif lawyer

 

 

the only thing tat is holding them back is the logcard wif the finance company, if ur bike is reg after may 2005 (if i m not wrong) it dosent have a logcard anymore, u can jus transfer on ur own

 

 

n also u shld get a letter saying the full redemption of the loan so u wont get into trouble for transffering on ur own

 

 

so if the bike is reg after may 05, u dun need the logcard for transfer, get the owner down n do the transfer at LTA, rem to do insurance first

 

 

 

RT and season parking dosent necessary mean can be only done after transffered, since u say the bike wif u, i hope u have insurance coverage already

 

i suggest u go down n bang table n talk to the boss

FYI, if I'm not wrong, there is no need for logcards at all now.

 

Recently I also bought from a private owner. Just paid the remaining installments in full to the bike shop, they issue me a receipt stating that the bike is paid in full, go down to LTA and transfer ownership, paid the rest of the amount to the seller and we're done. Nothing else such as Form B and such.

Hmm..ok since thats the case. i could try to transfer,anyway i got e original log card wif me also...But wat i dun understand is y e shop insist tat i mus wait for e Form B to b released if i could jus transfer...Btw,i got e receipt statin "Legal fee" and the amount i paid...Does tat consider as a proof tht i hav cleared e loans?
