Hi all .. i need some help ... my bike NT605 (01) met with an accident sometime back ... most of its fairings are cracking off or gone... anyone know where i can get it replaced ??? Much help appreciated ....

Hi bros,

i know engine oil is of personal liking but any recommendation for a particular brand which you used that does not cause gears to have "sticking" like feel especially difficulty getting into neutral? Tried agip , for a few days was okay after that start have difficulty getting into neutral at a stop.

Well, you may try Maxima Extra 4, 10w40. I have been using this fully synthetic oil for the past 6 years.

It is smooth even to the extend of clocking more than 5,000 km on the bike.

Mustapha is selling for $23 per litre bottle while other motorcycle shops may be selling for about $21 including changing.

This brand has very good reviews, especially for V-twins engines.

While I like to think of gears not going into neutral is because of using different type of engine oil, I think problems can also be because of clutch plates worn off or gears splint wear off.

I do agree with Mr. Biker that the possible cause might be due to worn clutch plate or even gears splint wear off in

the event that after trying out different types and brand of Engine oil and it still don't work at all.

So far Maxima engine oil has proven to be great for my Deauville. I had tried other brands of fully synthetic oil, but most

of it are smooth during the 1st few hundreds K, after that it will be those "sticky " feelings during gears engagements.

Anyway, it is still up to individual preference.

Hi bros, seems like my bike idling ( ard 0.8 to 1 ) tends to have yo yo effect and fuel consumption seems kinda high at 16km/l or is this normal.Is this due to carb not balance or in sync?What is the average FC you guys manage to get before reserved? Where is a good shop to solve this?

Might be your fuel pump that is faulty. I recently fixed my fuel pump and now the engine idling speed is lower and smoother, improved fuel consumption as well. Can DIY if you are not afraid to get your hands dirty. BTW, mine is a 2002 NT650V1.

Can get about 20km/l if mostly on highway. In town, about 16-18km/l.

Let me know if anyone need a diode. Still have 24 left after using only 1.
