Hi guys,

Selling a nice Deauville for a friend of mine that went back to Europe. Can confirm very good condition, fairing done up at First Motor and resprayed.

Would appreciate if you could spread the word, price negotiable for Deauville lovers

Bike sold after less than a week. Had 5 guys viewing, in the end it went to a young chap who knew what he wanted!

Guess there is still enough people out there that value this great ride....

I was selling for my friend. I'll keep riding my own Deauville until the next COE in 2022 or until I leave Singapore, whatever comes first...

As much as I sometimes want to change ride, I still think the bike is ideal for Singapore.

Totally agree wif u, i've got a ex-colleague who bought a '99 nt650 rode it until coe expires in 2009 & happily bought a nt700 in 2009 tink he will use it until 2019. Haha i told him to pray hard for newer NT model to release by then, perhaps nt750 or watsoever...

Greetings all Deuville bros! I recently got myself a 650cc DV and was on my way to JB to pump petrol but got stuck at the causeway due to the jam. After some slow jostling with the other M'sia bikes, i can feel my bike get heated up rapidly and the engine just stalked when it was my turn to chop my passport. How embarrassing! In the end, i just had to slowly push my bike to the side before it finally get to start after half an hour or so.

I learnt that bigger cc bikes have this safety mechanism which will shut down the engine when it is overheated. Does the DV have this safety feature or should I send it to the mechanics for checks? This bike was just serviced last month so I am really puzzled now. Any help bro?

I will miss you forever my endearing hamster which passed away on the 18th of May 2004. Rest in peace!

Might also be the fuel pump. It's underneath the left hand side panel that is below the seat. It the fuel pump is working correctly, can feel it pumping constantly. If it is spoilt, it will pump and stop. You don't have to replace the whole pump. It can be fixed with a part that you can order from eBay..

Bro Ray, may I know which part you are talking about? Also, if the fuel pump is faulty, will the bike stalk even when it is not overheated? e.g. cruising along the road etc??

When the fuel pump is faulty, your bike may stall if there is not enough fuel flowing through the pump. It sometimes stall after running for a short while from a cold start and then stop at the traffic light. Fuel will also cut off around 9-10 liters of consumption as the fuel will stop flowing if the petrol level is too low. Reserve will not work.

Hello bros. Anybody knows the reason why the starter button can only start when my side stand is off the ground. It wont start at all when my bike is on its side stand....

I will miss you forever my endearing hamster which passed away on the 18th of May 2004. Rest in peace!

It's a safety feature to prevent you from riding off with your side stand down and then have an nasty surprise when you take a left turn. You will have no problem starting the bike while on the main stand. You can't ride off with the main stand down. :cheeky:

Dear DV bros, not sure whether this is the right channel to post this. I just saw a green DV met with an accident at the T-junction near Pathlight School (turning in towards Ang Mo Kio Ave 10). Think the rider must had skidded or something as there are no other vehicles involved from what I observed. All the fairings of the bike were seriously damaged with bits and pieces spreading across the junction. The rider (think is a young chap with a crew cut) seemed ok but looked like in a state of shock. Any bros know who the rider is? Apologies as I was not able to catch a glimpse of the number plate. Hope the rider is ok and did not sustain any injury. God bless.

Hello all! Newbie on the block seeking your kind advice.

I just bought a NT650V1, current in need to do the follow routine maintenance:

Both front and Back Tyres

All three sets of brake pads

Engine Oil

Shaft Oil

Spark Plugs

Oil filters

Any recommendations on brand/type? advice on cost? (shld be are $600-$700 if i estimate correctly)

I got to start to build a new relationship with mechanics all over (previously always ride automatic scooters), any recommendations on motortiam/mechanics? i stay in woodlands and work in tuas, hence prefer a north or west location for servicing?

lastly, would like to check did i miss out any maintenance task needed? things usually people also service while doing the above essentials, thank you bros in advance.
