Hi Guys,

I'm planning for a road trip in 2009. I'd appreaciate any inputs and tips from anyone. I'm riding a varadero.

I'm planning to go thailand,India, china. Duration, is half a year too long, too short? What to bring? Any bike shops or useful contacts in any one of the above mentioned countries. Tools and spare parts to bring.Visa applications etc...

Thanks in advance....

Varadero......This has got to be one the best bikes i've ever ridden. 10 years and still going strong....

In order to go to China in bikes, u must be with a biking organisation in China.. furthermore, they don't allow big bikes in.. I might still be wrong about this... But this is from my knowledge only...

Bro, may i know how much budget do u have in mind..? from there mayb we can see how far the $$ can take u..

hats off to u for the big heart to travel in bike, but be warned that it gonna be costly.

i think for parts,

1. change 1 set of rectifier, battery & bring a spare rectifier with u..

2. New tyre

3. Tube (just in case u need it when tubeless option is out.)

4. Tyre patch

5. A new set of chain before leaving SG.

My dream bikes...:thumb:

This post might help...

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

Hi Bro, actually i have no idea how much it'll cost. It's still in the planning stages.

About the entry to china i guess i'll have to look into it. Thanks for the "heads-up".
