hmmm... actually rxk quite power leh... my friend told me that time he went riding with his group of friends, one of them rides an rxk. at the junction, when the traffic light turn green, that rxk guy whack all the way, he was ahead of all the class 2a and class 2 dua gu~!! haha!!

 

then my friend also said that guy damn hiong... i think he changed his pistons 3 times in 4 mths. but rxk pistons damn cheap de... haha 60 bucks per change... haha!!!!

the difference between 2nd hand bike (or dunno how many hand bike) and new bike is:

 

- how often u go to the bikeshop and wat's the purpose...

 

for 2nd hand bikes, u'll really dunno how ur predecessors ride the bike... so u'll end up going to bike shops to solve problems (can be big or small problem, engine got problem or just changing wear and tear parts~).

or the new rider come up with his/her own problems... a rider sets his/her bike to his/her own style. Not everyone is comfy in another's bike, so u can change anything from paintwork to carb or fuel injection settings.

 

for new bikes, most of the time u r going to bikeshops to do maintenance and doing up the bike to ur style. More often than not, there are very few problems (unless suay suay kena manufacturer defect kind of bike).

 

 

Overall, for 2nd hand bikes, u got to have more time to go bikeshops... if u wanna save all tat hassle.. might as well get sthg new...

new bikes doesn't mean problem free.. but becos it's new, it makes a lot of difference..

maybe st11 reach 50k mileage also no need to change piston (not even once).. if tat rxk fella change piston so many times.. in 50k mileage, i think change ten or fifteen times for the engine block (not just piston hor) liaoz..

winter>> dun worry about the part where the bike might be in the showroom for too long. I have brought a 2a bike which spent 2 years in the bike shop out and rode on it for 2 months (looking after the bike for my fren whom is taking 2a).

As long as the necessary stuff are changed, everything should be no problem..

the bike's 8 years old, spent 6 years and 16k mileage with its one and only owner before going to the shop. turned out to be quite a great buy..

i just got home smelling like an elephant loh..

 

went for supper wif my friend(riding a suzuki V-twin).. on the way to supper engine died at two traffic lights.. den okie cool.. perhaps never warm up engine or something..

 

then we park our bikes and went for supper..

after that ! wa lao.. cannot start the bike !...

 

kick and kick and kick.. untill my leg "blue-black" damm pain lah..

 

tried to push start but yah.. start awhile den just died...

 

so i pushed my bike up slope and wateva.. untill home.. lucky its not very far.. about 2 traffic lights.. but ya upslope was the killer la.. haha..

 

so yeah here i am, at home at last !

 

hrmphs i think i might wanna return the bike to my friend..

sigh.. so many problems.. not the first time travel den engine die..

first day take the bike.. also engine die twice...

 

wat do u guys think?? my friend said its rectifier or battery.. and ya since so much problems i should just return the bike to my friend...

considering its actually not well maintain.. (rusty and stuff)

 

and i spent $28 already on a new horn, new brake pads & the signal relay.. not to forget i pump $10 worth of petrol..

I also find it funny.. by right Kawa agent should bring all kind of bikes..

why they dun bring in KSR110cc, maybe as what Dirt Wheel told me.. they dun bring in the bike is bcos the bike is too low.. Driver can't see them clearly especially those who drive big lorries..

Finally got my bike parked downstair liao..

 

When I ride my bike out from Tampines, my bike stall at junction when about to turn to PIE.. sh*t..!!

but luckily got my bf & our friend (Sean) as bodyguard..

 

So 2 big bike excort 1 small bike..

 

Now quite late, tmr then i con't the stories..

2 strokes no need to warm up engine de...

just start and go...

 

 

take a look at the spark plug.. maybe too long never change liao.. the rest dunno how to tell u.. must give more info..

 

often kick starting gives a lot of new riders a headache.. becos if u do it right and know how to do it properly, one time can start liao... but becos the new rider cannot start in one time, so sometimes they think it might be the bike's problem.. often sellers quote "every morning kick start one time, engine starts and can ride off... good condition". After the new rider can start, he/she will think that this one bluff one..

So far i attended bike lesson didnt got to wear the 'duckling suit' hopefully.. Mr Heaven is kind enough not to rain on those impt subject....

 

Eeyore: I checked with my friend yesterday, he mentioned that he is importing the KSR le.. when will arrive still nt sure yet... but... my bf keeps!!!! telling me it's nt practical... somehw keep shaken my mind... haiz.... so hw is ur first riding feeling on the road with ur OWN bike?? shiok?? kekke.. i guess i will also have alot of BIG bikes n BIG cars on the road esorting me... if i am riding KSR wahhaa.. I checked with some motor shop they also quote me S$5500 total... as for my friend is quoting me S$2600 for the machine price... i heard from my bf that insurance put under my name will be higher ah? y ah?? I forgot i heard from who le.. that if we are newbits on the road with less than 1 yr experience the insurance is higher.. isit? I think the person is either penguin, u or hart.. forgot liao...

 

Kitty: vespa also can consider.. but speed wise... kekeke.. idea leh.. put crash bar... then my bike drop i wont heart pain hor.. kuku u.. this idea also can think of...

so how practical is practical?

if u cannot touch the ground with ur leg, do u call that practical?

 

just put the siren and light tat the tp use and u'll be safe on the streets..
