That time my E brake, i failed once, passed the 2nd time...

now i think back, good to fail a couple of times...cause i think i passed too soon...haha

cause for the next few practicals after 3.02, i always got points at the E brake section...

and its always because my body leaned forward when i am stopping(without noticing)..

so i think i should have took 3.02 a couple of times..

but anyway, hopefully SP, i can take tat until sian..haha,

btw, the only way to prevent leaning forward while stopping is to make ur arms firm?

congrats to all who passed....!!! n good luck to those taking again!

Yeah my e-brake i ALWAYS clutch in early. Not good... cuz the bike has tendency to skid and its easy to lose control too.

I guess its just a habit for me to constantly prep my left hand to grab e clutch..... haha hard to break the habit also.

I also notice tat sometimes when just about to stop, it makes sense to lean ur bike in 1 direction while ur body leans towards the OPPOSITE direction.... (but dun lean too much cuz one of the instructors told me TP can mark u down for instability)

Dunno i making sense or not, sometimes so difficult to put it in words :cheeky:

I had tried on the e-brake only the most 6 times. Spent too much time waiting @ the right turn after the filter lane. The instructor asked me not to go into the filter lane after that. Dunno why they insisted in asking us to go into the filter lane. It's really wasting time.

anyway for 3.02 .. must i dethrottle and den brake fast?? coz when i do it fast.. i tend to jam brake my front brake and rear brake.. no need to use front brake and rear brake together rite?? i press front brake first den rear brake ok??

We went into the filter lane @ 3.01. The insrtuctor said BBDC changed the route. But dunno for what? I don't mind practicing the right turn but it's eating into our practicing time for the e- brake.

I used both brakes @ the same time.

There was once I was stuck for quite some time. There were coming close to 6 bikes waiting in the lane I was in.

are you locking either wheel? i think locking rear-wheel is one of the more common first mistakes. i was wearing hiking-boots during my first e-brake lesson and kept locking the rear-wheel because i couldn't feel the free-play of the brake-pedal.

sequence time has to be quick, but squeezing the brake-lever has to be gradual. i.e, time between closing throttle and beginning to squeeze brake-lever has to be minimal, but the squeezing itself has to start soft and end hard. i got 2 or 4 points for not squeezing gradually during evaluation (incorrect technique).

try not to get too impatient at the right turn. it just becomes a leech feeding off your concentration. i found that quite a few of us forget to check right blindspot before the turning right because of that.

After e-brake, how to go to that right-turn junction? Doesn't seem to be on the way to me.

One solution is to pick hours where there are fewer cars. :)

Right turn sure slow one. Right got two lanes, and so many side roads where the cars can turn out from. Left side also got two lanes. Need to see which lane they're in before turning out. And sometimes you hesitate a bit only, the chance is gone and got to wait for one row of cars to pass by.

juz to share with u guys...on my ferst try for the e-brake, I close throttle late, brake too little/too much, bla bla bla(typical mistakes first timer normally make lah) cos i scared fall/skid...on the 2nd try, I heck care and dont think abt falling/skidding..I juz do as wat i was told (but sometimes still close throttle early) and rite after applying the brakes, juz lock my elbow (as if pushing the the handlebars forward and putting weight on the rear) and look in front and dont ever think that u will fall (cos if u think..more chances that u might fall as this happens to me )..I noe that its juz human tendency to think not to fall and stuff...but for me, in my mind hor..I juz think.."F@!K it lah..juz get it done and over..if I fall so be it..I'll still learn abt the pain.."...but on a serious note, try not to fall..Best of luck to all...

You might regret what you let slip away~~

hi guys... any tips for lesson 7.01 U-Turn...

They say my bike wobbling while U-turning... i dun know why... i got grip tank... i look where i wanna turn... than i look far to prevent bike from wobbling...

but Voon E Y still say i wobble... sian....

And everyone in my lesson passed except me... damn paiseh sia...

U - turn actually, start off slow. dun rush even when moving off.

clutch control very impt, grip tank to prevent wobbling. eyeline look slightly nearer to where u turning. then once into the lane, look far... start checking blind spot n lane change.

just a joke... maybe u r not gal.. cos Voon has a liking to talk to gal.. muahahha he can remb gal name well..

E-brake.. sorry ah.. seldom pp need so many time to pass lei..

jus remb throttle more to hit the min requirement range . once hit the accerlation required, look far, grip tank, hit the white line, brake. use more of foot brake than hand to prevent wheel locking

steady yourself... for those leg n eye checking then can take ur time liao.. no need rush...

hopes the above helps ya...

jia you all....

i finally hitting, 900km!!!! my baby is hmm let me see 1 month, 8 days old... =P
