Hi emmitsu bro!

From ya early post, u had changed the tensioner. Did u

encounter any problem before deciding to replace it?

I heard a soft noise between 4.8k & 5K(rpm) since the

first day. No indication or experience on any major problem.

Juz the sound.... does it help by replacing the tensioner?

Posted

im gonna diy tensioner lifter change soon. if anybody is interested. we can do together.

For my case the noise came at 2 stages:

1. When decelaration rpm reach 3000.

2. When acceleration noice come on at 5000rpm and all the way.

As what tealeaf said the timing chain is design for long life span, We shall change the tensional once the timing chain start giving noice, this is bcos noice come from the timing chain hit against the casing, it might shorten the life span of the chain.

As for your case you won't feel any difficiency of the bike at this stage, only noisy at certain Rpm.

After replaced the tensioner my bike is quieter:smile:

Emmitsu bro, thanks for the advice! The sound is muz louder during

the first 10mins ride, after that it become softer but still noticeable.

Ah jian, do u have the exact address of the Unity bike shop? Thought

of dropping by to take a look.

Not sure if the RR model had heritage tis design problem. Was thinking

of replacing the F4 tensioner wif the RR type, if it can work of F4.
