I ever use BT014 at PG for 3 session. Every session last for one hour, average 17 to 18 laps.

BT014 is more street bias, hence at track it need more time to warm up (at least 5 laps). For my skill level I can said this tyre still can be us at track, bcos usually I dun go all out at track(no balls). The road feedback is very less, hence you dun actually feel the grip level of the tyre at track at high speed corner, so naturally you won't go all out during cornering.

Now I using SC2 Pro, this tyre need less time to warm up(2 to 3 laps), and you will feel the grip once it at it's working tempreture. I wud say that it's performance is consistant thru out it's life span.

As a Newbie like me using BT014 at PG (7 months ago), I found I spent most of my concentration just on the grip level issue becos grip level will also affected by suspension setting, tyre pressure and ....., and there are so many things to learn during track session.

My 5 cents opinion is two types of rider can used BT014 at track safely:

1 Very skillful rider. (he/she will know how to gauge the tyre grip condition and adjust the riding style)

2 Once a while track visiting rider. (Normally this group of riders would not go all out at track due to less familiarise with the track)

As I only mentioned this two brand is bcos so far I only use this two brands of tyre at PG before.

The bike in question is a F4 carb model. and frankly.. i dun even dare to go beyond 350km.. but i believe 400km is achiveable with the right settings and rider preferences..

as for Fuel injections ones.. i am not sure.. maybe in the region of 240-300 perhaps??

i see that's something new to me, i always thought that FI is supposed to be better int terms of fuel comsuption compare to carb

The true is bt014 no SS compound lah.. which mean cannot withstand the high temperature produce by track riding... by the time u warm up.. 5 lap.. curising... ok.. then 2 more lap u gonna overheat the tyres... hardened and thats why no grip.. sommemore reducing the tyre pressue for more grip... = danger!!

for us.. get so used to street riding and speed limitation.. bt014 very gd.. its qouted" street aggressive tyres".. u not gg to slide yr knee slider for the first few visit right? u not gg to take turn one at 150km/h right? so no worries...:cheeky:

pt1: agreed

pt2: for your own safety, download the PG map, go there a few time to observe first.. full gears.. confident in yr bike setup & performance & handling.. mentally prepared to buang..$$$ then u r 90% ready.. ..:cheer:

If both setting are the same... then FI for sure is more better in term of fuel comsuption... Some intelligence mechanics... old timer.. still don't trust and believe in new technology... they try ways and means to beat the technology.. so they started to play around with their fav Carb,... tune it.. chaanging the air intake.. fuel intake... anything they can do... even spocket size... riding method.. clutch in when down slope and before red lights.. just to say.." hey, your FI cannot beat my Carb"..

If FI not good.. then they should reproduce bikes with Carb... i mean for 600cc & above sportbikes...

xzied, not to worry so much.. yrs is already very gd..

burpermel, welcome! maybe you want to sms me ur contact number and name so that i can keep you updated when we have any gatherings... i believe for most of us, our IUs are also mounted at the handlebar. however, im trying to get my mechanic to think of another place to hide the IU so that it won't block my speedo and yet at the same time be detectable by the gantrys.

My idling speed is around 800 to 1000rpm, as for headlight low bean is at the right side, high beam is at the left. So only right head light on all the time.

For tail light once you switch on the lighting two bulbs at tail light will lighted up (both bulb come with dual filament), when front or rear brake in action the second filement will energised and lid up.
