  1. ups for spark-z. i own one for a year now and counting. no complains. nice thread with pretty interesting feedbacks. cheers. but somehow partly due to lack of experience of handling spare parts, i find it hard to understand alot of stuffs. lol.
  2. haha. too late lah i guess. i'm already in the process of taking it out. actually, i don't mind the performance. i'm just intending to make it a budget, transport bike. so thats why, i asked anything special i should take note of, on this bike. like frequency of servicing, eo change. anything i should be aware of. to pay special attention to. thanks in advance.
  3. hello. i'm taking out my spark z this sat. any things to specially look out for in the bike? anything to pay special attention to? is it minimal maintenance? looking forwards to replies! =)
  4. and oh yes. people who view the bike, will get turned off by the FP plate first. and i've to go on and explain it to them again and again. i wish i could record and play whenever they get skeptical over the plate year origin. darnz.
  5. oh i think mine is the most oldest. the infamous FP twodigit T plate. DAMN IT. people often mistook it as an OLD MODEL. CAN'T they see its a nice twodigit plate and DNA wouldn't even surface around that time? LOL. but for our info, mine's a 2004 FX original plate. woots.
  6. oh yeah. working somewhere there. you could have caught up with me! back to the fc. i think mine running lower. ard 22 - 24 km/l i guess. oh yes, any idea how much would servicing valve/piston cost? i think there's something wrong with my valve or piston. and my bike timing is darn low. often stalling. and also the vibration of the engine on side stand is terrible i tell u. and there seems to be a certain chokey, dying sound when the bike is idling and plus there's black smoke coming out from the exhaust. only recently this has been happening. and also i think i need to change my throttle also. cos its tight as a virgin ass man. any idea why?
  7. DNA isn't manual. Automatic.
  8. hey hey hey!!!! Bum Up To The Top!!! BUTTT.
  9. yes true. what i heard, for DNA, GPR is the only one streetlegal. not sure why LV isn't. or perhaps LV can't fit DNA? haha. for the spilling of petrol, somehow, at the opening of the tank there's a small hole to prevent overflowing. so when u pump fast enough, the petrol rises, hit that hole, and thats when all the excess petrol gets siphoned out. my 2 cents.
  10. ain't sure about ur problem bro. maybe others could help. getting really really quiet here... UPS on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON people.
  11. uuhhhh. bros. got alot of things especially on topics of modifications and maintanence to ask. 1st. issit advisable to get a single rear suspension? and why have i seen certain runners having that kind of single suspension (one sided lah). what brand of suspension do they use? 2nd. what kind or brands of suspension is suitable of DNA? i've noticed that the DNA suspension is alot longer than normal bikes? any affordable yet good suspension to consider? 3rd. GPR pipe used for Runner VXR is it the same for usage of DNA too? 4th. issit the Malossi Big Bore kit you guys mentioned once, the stock carb in Runner VXR 200? 5th. which shops do you guys usually go to, for basic maintenance like changing of belts or rewiring or mods? which one is heavily recommended. cos i've been switching shops very frequent. sometime even i dunno whether do they know what r they doing. hehe. 6th. other than changing EO & Spark Plug is there other parts of basic maintenance i have to pay attention to? 7th. and for servicing carb, when do i know the carb is dirty or faulty? or when it needs cleaning? or when do i know the bike isn't running as how it should? thanks for spending time on this long post. hehehe. do put ur $0.02 here alright.......!! and yes. i am still riding my dna. can't let it go. =)
  12. hey hey hey. back again back again. woohoooo.
  13. bum this to the tops.
  14. riser bar aS IN using scrambler bar? is it? if it is, any u guys have any idea whether how much it cost and the legality of this?
  15. haha. k guys. the deals off with the guy i'm supposedly to sell off dna to. so i'm keeping it alright!
  16. ooops... that was my post on top. logged in using my frens ID hahah!
  17. the workshop beside panjang. the one that have a Gilera Runner showcased on the 2nd floor. he also have a workshop beside the Shell station.
  18. wait. is there a diff between an air filter and open pod in the 1st place, or maybe i got mistaken by these two??
  19. what happened was, the mech took out this fat black rubber hose somewhere around the carb area that was attached to the airbox and replaced it with an air filter. and he didn't took out the airbox. he merely took out that big rubber hose that i was saying. and there was some smaller rubber hose that was attached to the top of the airbox. where it came from i don't know. that part of the hose, wasn't took out. cheers, again.
  20. hey sorry guys to be off topic. i'd read some pages back from this thread about one of you guys changing into an open pod and the rubber tubing wasn't attached to anything or a "sub-filter" was missing. what i wanna ask is that, i also changed into an open pod recently, and the mechanic didn't want to take off the big black airbox, afraid of repercussions (like water problem, dust and dirt get into it, yada yada). but i've seen alot of runners without the airbox. so any bros here willing to share with me, where i could purchase that small filter or whatever it is here. and how much would it cost. (actually the reason for me to change into an open pod was to get rid of the black air-box. and it didn't happen lah for my case.) and i'm riding a Gilera DNA. cheers.
  21. meaning, i can take out the the whole black airbox altogether and then block the opening of the rubber tubing with something, say sponge or plastic or black tape?
  22. bro spidey, what do you mean by blank it off. don't understand.
  23. and yes it is. very very. anyway, anyone from this forum went to JB on the morning of saturday. saw a grey dna past the workshop i was doing repair. a similar to mine. grey dna with box. i think a malay guy rode it. and good news. changed the carbon at JB for 65 Rm. quite a steal aye? and anyways, bros, i've recently installed an air filter on my bike. the bike sounds pretty fierce. and i was looking forward for them to remove the black airbox, but to my dismay, the mechanic told me that it is risky to remove it because the tube that is still attached to the airbox can't be linked to anywhere. but i seen some runners took out their airbox and install an air filter. how do they fix that rubber tubing to? just wanna know.
  24. pass me. u sure gainax letting go. i thot he using a vxr pipe? as in the stock pipe used for vxr. if he wants to let go, i dun mind exchanging my stock pipe. tahahah.
  25. who's willing to let go of a GPR or scorpion pipe?
