i'm not too sure but i'm aware of two old kinds of kr.. one is with the signal lights and brake lights forming a line that can be seen from the back.. the other one looks like an old zzr i think.. thing is, these old birds sure got diy mods on them.. can't really tell sometimes.. for example.. soon, give it 5 years, ppl will forget that sp has a single-sided swingarm design.. lots of ppl, due to damage and/or hard to find spareparts, switched to a normal dual-sided one..

alamak.. hope everybody is calm now.. dude.. she's a lady.. and it's ungentlemanly to assume otherwise.. we're here for our passion for bikes anyway right? let's leave it at that lah.. my fault for bringing up the subject of BFs..
-
dun get me wrong.. the pulsar is great.. but the reason n the way i lost my kr is sad..
-
if inside a game, when u push the button, your kr will transform into ZX-6R!! Then u can blast all the other bikes away! kiakiakia! First i saw it was a lady riding a kr.. then i tot to myself, why girl ride kr always look so good?... (Sorry fireshamie BF! ) the bike looked familiar coz of the blue paint job and the shiny blinker lights (lucky i wearing shades, if not blind oredi).. then i saw FX plate.. then i log on and realised ur from west side.. just had to add 2 and 2 together lah.. well, i had to sell off my KR last year.. very sad story.. *sob sob* now riding pulsar for work purposes..
-
hey fireshamie.. i tot i saw u on the road at junction near ten mile junction this morning (08/04/2008). Was it you in the red jacket? FX 4**8? i could be wrong.... accidents always have a way to calm down your riding style.. if you can walk away after recovering, it's a good but painful lesson learnt.. A lot are not as lucky as you creed.. let's all be safe.. ride hard, but safe! spokeys are great for top speed then, i guess? any effect on FC since they are light? i didn't use coz scared fall when corner..
-
Ohhh.. the only reason i never take it out is i thought got reported electrical probs with the bike.. i think i might take it out.. did you? S4 bellypan was the one i saw.. which version did he use? RXZ bellypan? is it a better fit? any pics?
-
hey guys.. here's a question I always wanted to ask.. maybe someone already asked it, but I lazy to go through 146 pages worth of pulsar thread.. hehheh.. Why in the world do they prevent me from switching off my front lights? I heard rumours about electrical problems but nothing specific.. the screw on my handlebar looks pretty ugly man.... And anybody fixed a Super4 belly pan (you know, the cowling under the engine) on your pulsar? I saw this malay bro who did it and it looked pretty sweet.. did you do it urself or did a mech fix it for you?
-
usually.. unless you really impatient bugger.. front tyre touch expressway only you full throttle.. then your FC will be less lah..
-
i know of this problems.. i lost them both a couple of times.. even the mech at UM pointed out to me.. he said," The vibrations very strong ah?" lol!

thanks for the fast reply! So 16L of petrol, mentioned by boon siew, is inclusive of reserve is it? And where is the fuel tank cap? Where do you guys put the speakers on the SW 400? thanks again!

yep.. toh guan road east.. sure there is one there.. they quoted me higher than Universal Motors.. 200 or 300 bucks more if i'm not wrong.. i wanted to buy there because it's more convenient to pay the monthly installments.. but when universal said can just transfer the money and then call them to confirm, i changed my mind..

Watch Out If You Park on Pedestrian Sidewalks
CokeAddicT replied to GuiNNeSS's topic in General Bike Chat
If LTA is working with building managements downtown, then that's all I need to hear. The move is probably 10 years overdue from what I gather from more experienced dispatch riders. I would think that it is a huge oversight. Businesses in the financial district, and elsewhere, have always engaged courier companies or hire their own dispatch riders. Could they really not bring up anything to the management when these riders complain of lack of parking? I doubt so. These small, niggly things affects them one way or the other. I have indeed taken time to chat with managers of some of these businesses. They all say they tried reasoning with the management but to no avail. So, Mr. Contrarian, are you working in an office that denies the need of such accommodations? -

not old.. more experienced and not as reckless.. one thing I notice is that there's no point speeding on expressway.. No matter how fast you go, if you exiting same exit as me, I will catch up with you at the traffic light.. happened to me lots of times... one time this super4 go so fast.. yet, there he was at the traffic light right after the exit.. -
Hi guys.. I've very recently fallen in love with a silverwing and plan to get one soon.. I know you guys probably answered these questions lots of times and I'm sorry to ask again instead of searching for them.. I tried but never really gotten the right results.. so here I go.. 1) Is the 25km/L FC really possible for this bike? 2) How many bottles of engine oil per change and how many spark plugs needed? 3) roughly how big is the under seat storage space? can fit two open faced helmets? 4)Boon Siew website says the tank can hold 16L of fuel.. Is that inclusive of reserve? 5)Rear tyre with single or dual suspension? (i didn't really check that time.. Dun want to eyeball the bike so openly ) 6)Are accessories readily available in Singapore? Thanks in advanced for your answers! Really sorry to have to ask...

really? the same thing for me when I was riding my KR.. My KR was pampered with VPower but it was so worth it.. When I switch to cheaper fuel, can actually hear my KR crying.. lol!
-
Well, 90% of the bike is made with low fuel consumption in mind.. What you are feeling and hearing is the vibration of the bike really.. the frame is not so stout a lot lot lot of vibration.. My digital speedo rubbed against it's edges so bad that it made the hole bigger and actually fell through.. universal mech had to screw on brackets for the speedo(for free!) you feel like the engine is straining because, if i'm not wrong, most of the power is in the low rpms... by the time you reach 80 km/h, it's at the edge of the power band..
-
7000 rpm = 84km/h 8000 rpm = 95km/h so around 6700+ rpm I try to change around seven.. never lower than 5.. never more than 8.. If you have a new bike, DUN FOLLOW THE MANUAL ABOUT HOW TO RUN IN YOUR ENGINE..
-
that was the price of VPower in Sing Dollars about 2 years ago.. My KRR was loving it.. Now riding Pulsar.. VPower no real effect on Pulsar rite?
-
Oh.. And the HDB branch office at CCK, the alternative parking for Lot 1,supposed to put coupon.. but so far not caught yet.. *cross fingers* BUT they seem to be installing a new gantry.. it seems longer so maybe in the future not free liao.. Will confirm again.. *Confirmed that hdb branch office bldg next to Lot 1 is now not FOC.. IU Unit with cashcard style payment.. not sure how much yet*

IMM parking is free for only 3 hours for all vehicles I think.. Since you're working there, I'm sure you're supposed to go out the back.. this 3 hour tactic is sneaky man... IMM so big if you get lost sure take more than 3 hours one..
-
ok.. i thought so.. still looks great though! i liked the old one coz it's so unique looking, but never seem to see an SG plate ZX 250.. maybe i'll see this baby more often..
-
i always love a nice kawa.. the sitting position looks upright.. like a sports tourer maybe.. i dunno.. what you guys think?
-
plenty of brand new-old stock ZX 150 KRR at bukit batok..(cannot remember the shop) saw them last year.. sure still have coz i estimate got around 20+.. Rode this bike last year.. Absolutely fell in love with it.. Even went 160km/h with mine along BKE.. Tested machines with friendly chinese dude on his NSR 150 SP. Went 140km/h on Clementi Road that time.. Corner until side cowling scraping on the road at GAP.. Ahhhhh~ My young and reckless days...... Wait a minute, that was only last year! Pros: Responsive controls, small and nimble, girls look great riding it (i have no idea why) Cons: Must slap on racing footrests for more aggressive feel, uncomfortable pillion seat (oh well, it is a racing bike after all) P.S.: Anybody riding KRR plate FX 7118 B?
