  1. Problem is that it's not exactly that cheap. It's abt 15k from yamaha without insurance. So unless one is a big retro lover, it is quite pricey for the tech it comes with By the power of Grayskull...
  2. Hi unique motorsports, Just wondering if there is any suspension upgrades for honda nc700 or 750s...thanks! Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
  3. Ducati S2R-1000 Basic w GST = S$23400 Road tax 6 months = S$160 Number plate = S$20 Registration Fee = S$140 Total = S$23720 The price excludes COE and insurance, all in, you should be looking at about S$26000. Price list as of 31 Aug 2007 from minerva.
  4. Chances are good. No worries about that, know quite a few RSAF chopper pilots with SIA now, problem is you will most probably need to go through the Jandakot and Marochydore phase like the rest of the ab initio but at a more accelerated rate considering your RT, a/c handling should be of a certain standard already.
  5. Well, keep the viewers posted of the price of the latest street triple from Mah Motor! A quintessential street fighter with definite crowd puller appeal.
  6. Hi JayBern, age limit is the same as far as i can remember...flying hours and experience plays a bigger role here. You can be 30 years old and have more flying experience than a 35 years old. Age is above 25 indeed for cadets. Not sure of the exact reason but I do heard of news going around mentioning that the pool of young men Go to the website Retro highlighted for more details!
  7. You're not the only one...
  8. It's not easy to get into the RSAF but not impossible. Think carefully, your first bond with the RSAF will be 12 years. RSAF pilots retire at 45 no matter how fit you are and depending on what rank you are when you retire, they might prepare a ground position for you, not necessarily with the force. SIA pilots get to fly to 60 (commercial), for freighter pilots (SIA cargo), they fly till 62. There are chances for you to come over to SIA during your service with the RSAF once your bond is over. The scheme is slightly different from SIA direct entry cadets. SIA throw in considerations knowing that you might already be married and have commitments by the time you finish your first bond with the RSAF (prob around the age of 30-35) so your pay is not as pathetic as the rest of the cadets. Nonetheless, both are good careers that you should seriously consider.
  9. Im busy this week le! But next week is fine, i will sms you. Btw, stylo milo avatar! can see you very active in ironhorse thread!
  10. Very nice..so anticipating to this new bike!
  11. You should know mah....like how most of your instructors are like in JDK or MCY (esp. in MCY coz all of the instructors have airline exp, mainly domestic australian airline exp)! haha.
  12. Not fantastic to work for jetstar too le...haha. My friend complained that the management there very "australian" even thou they are not flying in australia...! He just waiting for his 4 bar.
  13. Beauty! Is it a FBA plate?
  14. A320, depend on configuration i suppose. It's usually for short range services so i guess the range should be about 3000nm (~5800km). Exact range can be looked up from airbus webpage. If you really interested in the career, why not? Come and have a chat with management again then! Out of curiosity...did you get to the 2nd interview?
  15. Ic ic! Guess you must be either from ST or SIA engineering.
  16. Not sure le bro. Personally, never done it before. As far as i know point whiskey mainly for RSAF low level flying exercises. Sinjon wise....can definitely request to track direct, whether ATC will give it to you or not...that's another question. Probably can look up AIP for more info relating to point W, etc..? My 2 cents. Probably can ask retro and sylvestercat too!
  17. Sinn U1 - Should be around 2K, after discount should be late 1s. If im not wrong the waiting list for the U1 used to be quite long. With rgds to rolex discount, it's true that i was quoted with discount off the list price at a hefty 23% but the model i was getting was a ladies rolex, probably explained why there was a discount in the first place.
  18. Good le! Anyway, my advice (if you have the spare cash), go fly a few sorties and see if it is your cup of tea. Keep us posted!
  19. What do you keep in a hanger in seletar? haha most of the hanger i know of over there does aviation servicing....sorry off topic...LOL curiosity kills the cat! Scary part is true...i served my NSF days in seletar camp. So i jog there quite often in the evenings and on some days, it can get quite foggy due to the temperature difference and the moisture in the air.
  20. Bomb Cannister Maybe should just head down to Looi's one of these days and have a look at it in its full metal glory!
  21. Like what contrarian said, Seletar camp is a good option but dun go alone as it's quite dark and eerie at night. There is a side gate (should be open all the time) in the west camp area that leads all the way out to the yishun dam if im not wrong.
  22. i agree! but i think they usually allow up to 18-20% discount for rolexes. Make me lau nuah.....
  23. I think it looks good! To each his own i suppose! A belly pan would enhance the look too! I think honda went through quite a bit in the design department before producing this one. Weight wise, it's really good...600cc at 178kg! The ugly mass at the bottom where the call the exhaust is suppose to aid the CG of the bike or something...oh well...whatever! haha The honda hornet cup 2007!
  24. There ARE la bro but question is: Will getting a PPL really give you an edge over other candidates? There are cases too where candidates with PPL or even CPL did not get through. Do you meet the educational and physical requirements (eyesight in particular) ? If yes, congrats, good chance. My advice would be to read more with regards to aviation, follow the news a bit and of course, SIA's progress. With regards to flying lessons, go there to have a good feel to what flying's all about. It will also give your confidence a boost if you do not feel airsick and are able to control the a/c to a reasonable degree. This shows that you have aptitude. Some of my friends went to elite for a few lessons (about 10) and subsequently, they were all accepted by SIA. Do take note as well that going for flying lessons leave the interviewers with MORE things to ask. They will ask you questions like how you go about doing a pre flight check, how do you recover from a stall, how can you recover from a spin, what's the difference between a stall and a spin. Basically questions relating more to flying because you have some sort of flying experience already! Last but not least, if you have a PPL, that will account to some reduction in flying hours in Jandakot, Perth. Oh well...too complicated to explain now, will leave that to another day alright?
