Hazard Oriented Vision (HOV) : Safety Ride 30 Aug
ashrobo replied to endlessloop's topic in General Bike Chat
Thanks to endless, pplater and all the people who helped out! -
The fact that they have a per entry charge for cars but not for motorcycles for certain timings irks me. Is this possibly the first place where a rider has to pay more than a driver when a smaller area is occupied?
-
The thing about Vivocity is, if a rider parks there overnight, he/she will end up paying more than a driver because there is no per entry charge for certain timings for motorcycles unlike for cars. Sounds pretty ridiculous to me...
-
IIRC, yes...
-
I saw the carpark charges notice at the lift lobby too.

My rear brake squeals when it's raining... sounds like I'm riding a bicycle instead. It's fine when it's dry. My rear brake pad was changed few months ago and the rear disc a month ago. Any idea what could be wrong? -

Not gunk or metal bits, is rubber. Like a small broken rubber band stuck in between and one of the ends sticking out. I only lube occassionally.. not often -

When cleaning my chain, I noticed that there are little black rubber bits sticking out of the chain, like some rubber stuff stuck in between the rollers. Is it anything of concern? The rubber rings in my chain gone (just a noob guess)? -
Any idea why hospitals are placed in a category on their own? Mount E is under "Out of Bounds" but isn't it a hospital also? Feel that it is easier to look through the respective list that's sorted in alphabetical order. The rest of the places are not categorised either.

Argh! Missed the previous session.. Hope to attend the next one! -
exactly. I wonder if the indian model will be brought in as well.

The gap at the entrance barrier seems too tight to turn into, and it's kinda scary to enter via the gap at the exit barrier and encounter a car exiting.

[Archived - 2007] DIY SESSION (Hazard light and Horn)
ashrobo replied to fusionzone's topic in Cruisers
My right mirror got scratched and misaligned, that's all I noticed... I doubt the taxi is damaged at all. Didn't think that there's a need to claim for damages so didn't take down particulars even.. Too shocked... Maybe I should claim for my traumatic stress afterall. -

ashrobo replied to fusionzone's topic in Cruisers
Oh yes, thanks for the reminder to get the fuse! Got the rear lights replaced today, so it's all good now! I've used the horn to give warning today, and I got knocked down by a taxi despite the warning horn. Good thing I escaped unscathed, and now my friend is asking why I didn't claim against the driver. -

Thanks to Ivy and Andy for organising this session and getting the materials! Thanks to the guy (sorry I didn't get your name) who helped me a lot with my hazard lights and horns! It was scary riding without the rear light (cos it fused) though... -

Can park at Goldhill Plaza just beside United Square, or at United Square itself. The area for motorcycle parking at United Square is abit obscure though; it's under the ramp up to the carpark. P/S: Don't move the cones surrounding the loading area if there isn't any more space at Goldhill Plaza. I got chided by the security guard for doing that, but it's also thanks to him that I finally know where the United Square carpark is.
