  1. ic... tks for the info. my helmet is a very old one, doubt they have the visor. time for a new one.
  2. Hi where is the lab where I can get my visor fabricated? Any shape and size?
  3. I bought 2 rain pants and 1 rain coat. They’re very good. Kept me dry in torrential rain last week. But for the rain coat with the hood, how do you wear that with the helmet?
  4. Does the hood flap around? Or do you wear your helmet over the hood??

  6. from my experience, the camera's current draw from the battery is minute. if you wire the camera parallel to the headlight, it only draws current when the ignition is turned on. the rate at which the alternator charges the battery is much higher than one or two components like a camera and a voltmeter can draw power. that is why a rectifier is needed to reduce the charge current that the alternator produces to about 14 volts to charge the battery. just make sure whatever components you want to connect are connected down line of the ignition. hope that helps
  7. I realised the problem has got nothing to do with the camera. my camera was connected parallel to the head light. I.e it was not hot wired directly to the battery. the camera only sucks power from the battery when the ignition switch is turned on. this is also when the battery is charged by the alternator if the engine is running. the reason why my bat died was because the alternator coil was burnt. took a few rounds of trouble shooting (changed battery, rectifier) to finally narrow it down to the alternator, replacement of which is very tedious.
  8. Hi, have you tried this out? I rigged my bike battery to supply power to the camera when the bike switch is turned on. It seems like the camera is taking a lot of power from the bike battery. The bike alternator can't seem to charge bike battery back up to the original 12v after I installed the camera (I have a voltmeter installed). Unfortunately, 4 months after I set this up, my bike battery died. Usually my bike battery lasts about 2 years. Any comments? cruiser
  9. Hi, Where can I go to get my bike wired up so that every time I start my engine, the camera gets powered up and auto records? Just like a car video camera. I just need a 5V output cable to connect to the camera. The camera can be set to auto record when it is powered up. Any suggestions welcome! cruiser
