  1. hehe. Some folks just have a thing with black bikes. I'm more for white or red. Today i was washing my GS... and felt a tinge of regret for not just spending above my budget and just go for the Rallye. Its just the perfect color combi for me
  2. Get the road version. Is just as good.
  3. EUD fall a lot liao. But PML price stays the same... kekeke.
  4. Yupz, not sure why but lot of fazer-ians changed to GS, I'm one of them, losing tons of money on my fazer ... it made the GS depreciation seems "cheap" in comparison.
  5. what's the model of the taichi mesh jacket abv?
  6. Soo.... conclusion is? Red GSA?
  7. Depends on your inseam. I'm 1.75, 32" in-seam. very ok with 1200GS (slight tip-toe). ok with 800gs (high tip-toe). but have problem tipping over the GSA. But note 800gs is higher seat than GSA. The problem is the weight of GSA. But with effort and good bike control, yes, can ride the GSA although pushing it around on the bike and tipping over can be tough. Some bros recommend getting off bike to push it around but I don't have this habit.
  8. Yupz, if 2up, then GSA, the 800GS looks uncomfy for pillion unless pillion likes sticking to the rider...haha. But other than that, i think 1.8m is perfect for 800GS too.... not necessary just GSA isnt it? Although I agree, the Magma red is very attractive color scheme. Personally, i find the F800GS looks nicer for certain color scheme. But GSA hv a more majestic look. So in the end, it comes down to cost reason
  9. Yes, i had the same dilemma. And yes, the F800GS is much much much better for daily commute. And the price diff is really way to huge. I hardly log 10k per yr so dumping 50k on a bike just doesnt sound right to me...haha. Actually, the 800 have really great looks too. Just kit it up properly to achieve the looks you want. Also, the fuel consumption is really fantastic. However I ended up with a 1200GS 2nd hand as it fits the budget i have. Reason is when I tried both bikes, I prefer the stability of the 1200GS much over the fun of the fun of a 800GS. Also, mainly thinking of going for some touring just to satisfy an itch. But if the 2nd hand one wasnt available, I would have booked a 800GS Matt grey from PML. Personally, black color is so not my thing, so I don't quite understand why triple black is more ex...kekekeke.
  10. where? cant find this user
  11. Not true, the sales manager entertained me while I was there. But its true salesman is busy with all the bike bookings etc. Business have been good for them
  12. That is interesting.....
  13. Looi's claim they can. And they have a lot of BMW bikes....
  14. Thanks for recommendation. How much is it from Motoworld?
  15. -deleted due to double post- *wonder why even though I click once*
  16. hmm.... seems like didnt hear of anyone mention anything about the stock footpeg for the 1200GS. Don't anyone finds it too small and sometime 'feels' slippery when wet? it also felt too "into" the bike...not sure how to desc, ie it will be better for the footpeg to protrude outwards just a bit more. Any recommendation for footpegs?
  17. I'm only aware Regina is selling but no stock. So not sure if theirs is the EVO version, that's why I'm asking.
  18. Are all current AX-8 the newer EVO version?
  19. Besides Regina, anywhere else sells AGV helmets?
  20. Yupz, i did the "tour" of shops. Anyone heard or opinions on a brand call "Rev'IT" - at Chiap Lee. Found that seems to be the best. A lot of jackets have this plasticky inner layer which I feel will just stick to my back. The "Rev'IT" seems to be best in color and design and a nice inner layer. Hv to go by Motoworld again to relook at Dainese.....
  21. To be honest... my spec wont "sit" on my ear when I'm wearing FF (comparing to normal spec wearing position). But yes, you shd be able to get ur specs on. Just one question for FF helmet wearers, when you choose size, do you choose one when all the padding are pressing on your cheeks or one where the paddings just lightly "rest" on your cheeks. I'm not very big head but I've to wear "L" size FF coz it feels more comfortable, just wondering if its too big?
  22. I was a S4 upgrader to FZ1 as well. V similar riding posture so you'll feel at home immediately. The only downside is right off, you'll feel a lot of heat on your upper thigh (below part) compared to S4... but soon you'll get used to it.
  23. How about in the $200-$400 range? Any compromise, dun really wanna spend $800 on a BMW jacket coz saving the money for a DS helmet and they ain't cheap either.
  24. Good street riding posture. What I love most about this bike is the engine sound and plenty of power on the tap. You will definitely not regret!
  25. Thanks all the bro... actually, I dropped by Motoworld before posting here. totally agree that the mesh jackets are thick, that's why I hesitate to buy them although my pals told me just get the mesh jackets.... I saw some Dainese racing suits in motoworld as well, did I remember wrongly? but more for track usage... not daily riding. Any other place with good selection of riding jackets? BMW - Really really expensive.... are them that good?
