  2. Hi All, Hope to get some help for my DRZ400sm. Last week Tuesday I turn on my ignition, my volt meter turned on and shows 12.2, Vapor trail turned on, Brake light turned on, only the Headlight was not on. I found this to be strange, but I press the start button anyways and nothing happened. The bike didnt start. no sound what so ever. Tried a few times, just cannot start. left the bike in the carpark, havent had time to check the all wiring. What could be the cause?
  3. oh man, this thread is so dead. I didn't think I would be so busy with work until don't come back to check the thread. Hopefully can restart this thread. I remember a few guys in 2014 wanting to get a JB ride together but it didn't happen. Anyone want to join me for a chilled ride up to Desaru. Can plan for a mid May or June Ride. It would be a day trip. i'm only know how to get there. Rode there once to a resort. I'm not good with the area itself. Easier would to be just ride up to JB for makan. Hope bro Ruulies, see this post cause he tried to get us together the last time.
  4. This quote wasn't from ah gua lane. Maybe should go there and ask around for quotes as well. kickarse you go to any workshops in JB before?
  5. I've experienced a light bell sounds before that mostly comes from the right side of my bike when I'm riding (or so I thought it was from the right side) Here's some of my experiences. I hope it helps in some way. 1) 1st time I heard a ringing bell like sound when I rode was when my piston ring was loose. Only knew this when I went to the workshop and described what I heard. Mechanic revved my engine and said my piston ring is loose. He fixed it. 2) 2nd time I heard a constant bell sound when riding, I was afraid it was the piston ring loose again. But it shouldn't wear out so fast. When I slowed down the ringing stopped. When I sped up it came back. The second day, I found out that it was my keys hitting against my metal basket. #Goondu. I now have a leather keychain with my keys, it helps by not allowing my keys to hit or bump against my metal basket. 3) 3rd time I heard a ringing sound was a random day after working night shift. Heading home. A very weird ringing sound, more like a "cling cling" sound. Very constant. Also more to the right side of the bike. I didn't think it was engine problem, again when I slowed down the sound disappeared so I checked my keys. Nope, not the keys hitting anything. So I looked down at my basket nothing was there except my helmet bag. But the sound would come back every time I sped up. Took me a few mins to find out that there was a penknife from work in my basket it was covered by my helmet bag so I didn't see it. #Goondux2 4) 4th time was when I went exploring in Lim Chu Kang area, passed a certain area that I thought I heard a bell sound. So I checked my keys. My basket was empty. I would randomly slow down and speed up to check, but the bell sound would be heard at random times. Only every now and then during that 2 hour exploring lim chu kang to Kranji, did I hear the bell sound. I hope that bell sound didn't follow you either. #Gdluck.
  6. Hey guys!! I too ride a Wave R with rear disc brake. Mine is fully stock. I frequent a certain shop in JB. And their shop's pricing for Racing Boy sport rims is RM230 (no discount). That's about $92. Of course if you buy other stuff, you can ask for discount on the total bill. I'm sure Ardian's recommended place would be great too. So just giving more options. Who knows, he might've gotten his sport rims at the same shop? Still hoping can check out confusehaha's pics of his self installed USB charging point.
  7. Thanks for the reply bro. Where did you get yours done at?
  8. Hi guys, Anyone installed a USB charging point on your wave before? Is that allowed by LTA? Can't find anything this on one motoring website. Thanks!
  9. Saw a 2 female Wave riders at stop light this past week on different days. Are there female riders here in this thread?
  10. 10yrs bro, For sure. i agree. The wave is a workhorse and a bulletproof engine. There will always be 2B riders looking for a 2nd hand bike to start out with instead of paying the full price of a new wave.

  14. Hey Bro, I ride a 7 years old Wave R. I did not stop to cool down the bike. I only rest at petrol kiosk once every 240km roughly. This is after the petrol in my bike tank and my petrol can is used up. When I rest at the petrol after roughly 240km, my friends and I do rest for about 30min. Drink up, use restroom, smoke etc... You won't regret going up and down the cameron mountain roads. The wave can take sweeping bends at 90+kph. Very very shiok. I am only 4 months riding. And after the trip up and down is 1000km. I do feel much more confident with the Wave. Very good bike, I was also riding with a loose piston ring. Thats what the Mechanic at JB ahboy said. must find some way to make my headlights brighter. Riding up the mountain at night quite hard when I couldn't see much in front of me. It would be interesting to do a tour with just waves or 200cc and below. Everyone will have to buy personal petrol can. Malacca is just for short trip, go makan and enjoy. Cameron will be for a longer riding experience and to make your ass into an iron butt. Really the mountainous roads are really great experience, especially riding at night up the mountain!
  15. Oops got double post. sorry.
