HI Guys,

Am intending to purchase an old CB750. What is the difference between the RC38 and RC42 version?

I am viewing both bikes this week before making a decision.

Thanks in advance.

wow u r on the verge of getting a cb750 rc38 aka night hawk?...as far as i know main difference is it uses a single front brake disc and a rear drum brakes plus the top of the suspension is covered by the side panels.....my preference would be I would get a night hawk 750.....You do not have to pay for two pairs of brake pads....you just need to change to steel braided for more brake bite and perhaps EBC semi sintered brake pads from amazon......but it would still stop the bike....

the engine I believe is the same....using hydraulic tappets....so u do not have to do any valve clearance......and a nighthawk is perhaps more rare than the cb750 rc42...how much eh they are selling the bike?...just curious....get the nighthawk....get the nighthawk.....happy viewing and deciding boss

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

HI. Thanks for the reply. Have viewed the bike. Need some touching up on its exterior sprocket casing, clutch casing, and one more thing I can't remember. Main concern is, can these parts be found in Singapore or at least online?

Anyway, will be viewing a RC42 and GSX750E too before making a decision.

Thanks.

Buy first. Talk later. Hahaha!! That's how I ended up with 3 bikes. :p

This will be my third bike. Heheheh. So to get both, is pushing my luck a bit. Furthermore, sleeping on the bike is not comfortable... heheheh.

Anyway, your R1100R is teasing me too...

So we are from the same kampong. Hahahaha!!!

The RC42 IMO looks better.... I like meaty bikes and the RC42 will make a mean brat cafe.
