Well, to each his own. U may think that it looks funny, but many others (including non-Pulsar owners) find the headlight fairing nice.

That's d very 1st Pulsar model launched in 2001 but not released in Sg, so we can consider that as Version 0 in Sg context. Single spark plug, round headlamp dome, short wheelbase, no DTSi & no ExhausTEC technologies .

Greetings, pulsar bros - the moment i've came into this forum i've already set out to buy a Pulsar - for the long term. Been trying to finish this forum for months - and already went in search for my ideal pulsar, the GHC company near my place

St. Michael's Road sells Bajaj Pulsar U.G. III w/ 1st party insurance for SGD$6,095, which is based on..

Machine Price $4,773

(inclusive:

COE (based on average of $902 , Road tax 6 months, LTA registration fee, LTA transfer fee, 1 set license place, ARF)

1st party insurance Premium - $974 ( 1 year Mitsui for 22 year old P-Plate holder)

Accessories

I.U. - $153

Bike cover, Box, Rack - total $195

G.S.T. inclusive of all, $6,095 the fellow quote me. Which means if COE falls and 3rd party we could well get it for roughly SGD$5.2k.

Wonder if this quotation is reasonable? The company gets the machine and parts from universal still, surely they earn quite a few hundreds from the sale, but what to do, the motordiam is right at my doorstep. Probably this is the amount of money i pay for the distance and convenience.

Any of you install a crash bar? checked the pictures where all of you posed together with your "wives" but can't happen to see any with crash bars installed.

I'm thinking of 1st year - install crash bar, up max insurance in case anything,

then 2nd year can remove such stuffs liao.

Revtec seems to work for a small percentage of performance for some of you guys, i wonder if it's reliable for pulsar. Chng'ing is a good idea.

By the way, i'm going for the Black Beast w/ Digital Display. Cheers. It's so cool, adding a box would tarnish its image.

Rainy days try not to order pizza/kfc/macdonalds.

Posted

its true lah bro.. putting a box will spoil the image a little.. hehe.. cannot show the sharpness of the Pulsar's tail....

but putting a box is definitely a good idea, for you to put your stuffs, rain coats, helmet, bik ecover etc.

'Nong nong' time, by bike is one of the nicest one in here.. but noe my bike become like ah pek bike.. hehe.. even got side box.. hehe

and a crash bar is a must too.. safety.. u never know when your bike wanna take a nap or wanna play 'subasi'... my bike take a nap two time. hehe

Yeah, man! The Ramly burger at KTM is much nicer than d one at Bapok Lane.

Goof, maybe I'll be going to Ah Boy JB this Wed or Thur. Problem is I can only leave my workplace after 12 noon.

Btw, I've decided not to spray-paint my rims gold color. Perhaps gloss black like urs. Is it easier to clean the rims after spray-painting them? That nite when u 1st took me to Bapok Lane motordiam and showed me ur rims, it seemed easier to wipe the brake dust off the rims.

Not so sure, but same direction as towards Ah Boy JB. Then all d way straight out of JB. Landmark to look out for is Carrefour on d left, followed by d massive Jusco Tebrau. Then after that, have to depend on directional signs already. But heavy traffic lah due to roadworks there (flyover being built after Carrefour).

Wat abt via 2nd Link ah? No doubt longer distance but maybe faster cos using highway. Then can just follow directional signs and head towards Desaru / Kota Tinggi.

Yoh faveTP think u check by calling to Universal and check what price they give you. Well i am not sure is it the same shop i went, is this the address ?

Guan Hoe Cheong 1110 Serangoon Road Tel 6292 3737

If yes i think you better check with Universal. I went there before and the price they quote me is $400 - $500 more than most shop, and items they give is less than Universal who gave me more. Well at least at Universal you got 5 free servicing ... well not sure still have or not lol. Call and check with David @ Universal.

Well this link will have most of the shops tel. no. U can called to check the price.

Thats all i can help. I do not know the price for the ver3 now but by calling u can compare. By the way most of us here bought from Universal. Maybe far but at least i trust their service.
