hi... im a new dude here.. im thinking of buying pulsar ug 3.. bt i dun noe much abt bike.. mayb some guidance...

thanks

Welcome, bro.

A lot of info, feedback, comments, etc, on the Pulsar can be found in this thread. Since u intend to spend hard-earned $ on this bike, I suggest u put in some effort to read the previous posts instead of expecting us to spoonfeed u.

Pls dun get me wrong. We're not being unhelpful; in fact u'll see that we have a sharing culture here. If u have a specific query abt the Pulsar, then it's easy for us to reply. But u're asking abt the Pulsar in general/overall terms. How much info can be put in a single post as compared to 92 pages of posts?

I hope u see my point.

Thicker Tyres logically translate to more weight, higher rolling resistance.. but better balance, better grip, safer (kup cornering) turning.

I've contacted GHC's boss and he predicted that COE prices will only go higher this year, up to $1.8k even.. due to the quota of motorcycles that LTA wishes to keep. Is that gonna be true? Sadly..

Btw, how much per litre is Esso 92, wadee? Petrol times are bad..

Rainy days try not to order pizza/kfc/macdonalds.

my cousin's fren manage to get a rear sprocket and mod to fit. he claim that can go to 140km.h.. dun know how thru.. but honestly thru calculation, it can go to higher speed if u play around with the sprocket size.

but if the higher your speed go to.. the less power it get(pick-up). so there's where the gadget comes in handy.

now at SGD $1, 214 (120 months), SGD $10. 12 /mth

Cheapest was at Jan 2006. $401. Divide by 10 years (120 months) is about

SGD $3. 34 a month.

http://www.aas.com.sg/coe/coe4.htm

Well that old fella said the next "cheap season" would be 2009. I would like to know if he's babbering for people to buy his bikes soon enough or is it true. Shall we start a thread regarding COE prices or there already is?

Roughly $10 a month is okay lah.. but it'll be best if it's cheap like before lah at the very least..

If not i shall stop my bike practicals and start taking class 3 go buy vans (go diesel!)

for the $1 COE. LOL

Rainy days try not to order pizza/kfc/macdonalds.

As your

Engine Sprocket : Rear Wheel Sprocket ratio gets larger, your back wheel churns out more revolutions due to the amount of distance of the Engine Sprocket generates. This compromises the torque.

So i believe your friend must have gotten another sprocket set with a smaller 5th gear sprockets.

btw that's a cool speed mod

sorry... hot many batches of this bike have been in singapore already? the lastest model is the 3rd batch???

Yup. 1st model had spoke rims n silver engine chassis. 2nd model has sports rims and black engine chassis. Actually, 2nd model has 2 variants with the later variant equipped with engine kill switch which the earlier variant didn't have. The current model being sold is the 3rd model with digital speedometer and LED tail lights.

Actually, the 1st model that was sold in Sg wasn't the 1st Pulsar model. The very 1st Pulsar model had shorter wheelbase and didn't have DTS-i & ExhausTEC technologies.
