I got the bike with Insurance and Box without IU for $4700. Bt Batok, coz I intent to service my bike there as well.Sold of my GSX 400. ANd near my place too

I got the silver. Black looked good too but I felt Silver made the bike look big almost like a 250cc.

I have heard that a Dyno run in makes the bike perform better. Any comments?

And I met a rider who just bought the Pulsar. collected it only yesterday. Said wonderful things abt it. He Was from India. Said that Bajaj is the best selling brand in INdia, and this bike performs well 50Km/Litre is no problem, he said that he hopes it will hit 60Km/litre. Anyway, I read in a another Forum that this bike has already achieved that type of mileage.

That means yesterday just saw 3 Bajaj Pulsars on the road. I know for certain that I will see more in the coming months.

Riders out there what are your mileage so far Distance travelled and per litre. Hope word spread around and more riders can share your comments

is the price with GST?

next time i sure want to drive a dirty rusty beat up old truck.. then paint on the tail-board.. I have claimed insurance on 99 tail-gaters. Are you the 100th? :cheeky:

u quoted that post is how long ago one???

to my knowledge, now pulsar is at least 5k. Dun say about the slight drop in COE which is still in the 1k range...

UG3 so far i havent managed to open the head cowling... which can access to lots of circuits which im interested to install DIY hazard lights. anyone does so pls enlighten me how to remove it...

Maybe after successfully opening n installing the hazard lights, i can organise a DIY session where carb, tuning, EO, plugs, hazard lights can be DIYed ... for UG3.

heey guys... i saw some condensation on the inside of my digital console. should i be concerned?

Normally this happens alot with cheap digital watches (and some that are not so cheap), but normally the condensation clears up when the weather gets warmer, and it doesnt really affect the watch much. but this is a pretty high-tech(?) motorbike, and i dont want it conking out on me at tuas south avenue 14. :|

Wah piang eh! That post u quoted was posted on 9 Feb 2006 by the thread starter (Pg.1). And the COE for bikes back then was under $500! But have to salute u lah for reading all the way back from Pg. 1.

And yes, the warranty is 1yr or 10K km, whichever comes 1st.

I think some time back, Bro Kailong was also asking how to remove the head cowling. And as far as I can remember, during the 2nd DIY session when some of us here installed the hazard lights, none of the bikes was the UG3. So can't help u much with that.

For me now, it's the tuning lah that's more urgent cos I'm sure my bike's running too lean. Can feel that the engine's hotter than b4 I installed the K&N filter. U think u can help me with that? Cos I'll only wash n tune my carb during the next routine servicing.

hmmm.... I think you did not need to remove the head cowling... There is two thick back rubber tubbing at both side (below the handle bar.) which cover all the wiring. I saw the signal light wire there... I think u need to loosen the handle bar first. they wat the mech at UM did.:p

This wat they did when they change my meter...:cheeky: ( i might forget some step)

1) unscrew the front shade cover ( watever you call it)

2) the unscrew the screw underneath both front signal light

3) loosen the handle bar...

4) dig out two rubber tubbing underneath the handle bar... ( that where all the cable is...) and disconnect all wiring

5) unscrew the screw above the meter

6) out it come the whole casing with the meter and signal light.

that all... :cheeky:

Bro.. when the next diy session ? I want to join leh:cheeky:

Which shop is that? Y dun u go to a few shops to compare prices? U own 3 bikes b4 so u should know that mah. But dun just look at the lowest sale price lah. Also gotta consider the aftersale support. The joy of buying a new bike can be doused by poor aftersale support. Shops will be lovey-dovey to u b4 u sign & pay. After that, .....

In this regard, the only way is to ask other bikers for recommendations lah. For me, I got my Pulsar from Universal for peace of mind cos they're the agent. Their price may be higher than some dealers' but not by a lot lah. But their sales staff (David) is :thumb: and their aftersale support is, so far, not an issue to me lah.

Anyway, dun rush bro. Take ur time. And dun forget to ask for freebies like helmet, raincoat, bike cover, free servicing and watever else u think u can squeeze out of the shop lah.

I think shops that do re-wrap of seats can customise tank bra for Pulsar. Maybe GoofRider can give some info on this cos he was looking into this matter last yr.

Or if u have frens in India or going there, maybe can ask them to source for one over there.
