Really? Oh damn that sucks la

What if suddenly my speedometer go haywire on the expressway

**** man should ve asked more abt this bike

Can this be fixed?

Posted
1. price now surely over 5.5K

2. latest mileage? full tank can hit 710km or at least 650km

3. Universal motors

4. I think u go to dealer better offer on servicing n after service.

5. Parts varies. some have to wait some readily on the shelf.

If u looking for economical bike this is for u. but if u looking for speed then forget it.

1. I bought it at 6.8k (GHC serangoon) everything. - the box they fix drops cos they don't screw it in, until i go back and ask them to screw in then they gave me a new box for the scratched initial one.

2. 715km from Brim to end of main tank (Exxon Synergy 2000 - RON 92). Top up after about 80 km within reserve (phew!) by the way if you're looking to not ride your bike for about 1 month and above, try to fill your petrol to the brim cos i just had a friend who had rusty internal tank!

3. Universal MOtors!

4. Authorised workshop & Dealer is most reliable.

Just lubed my chain with Maxima Chain Guard & a toothbrush - i wonder if anybody uses WD-40 for that? Or clean with WD-40 first, then wipe with cloth, next use chain lube to coat and then let run at Gear 1.

By the way my friend that died within 24 hours of the 2B licence, he rode a Varadero 125. Just saw the model - high Centre of Gravity, large, heavy and must have been helluva hard to control.

Maxima Extra - where you guys get the price at $15? I heard there's one shop opposite Sim Lim Towers that sell it at $16. the name - Mah Motorparts. QN: Does this EO reduce the vibrations at 80-110 kmph?

Rainy days try not to order pizza/kfc/macdonalds.

Same problem - now i press "reset" it doesn't reset at all.

I can't get to kickstart the bike, brakes aren't strong enough - about close to 20 close-calls since i got the bike at 09/Jun/07

Varadero is little bro of African Twin mah (those that u see zooming across Sahara desert during Paris-Dakar Rally).

Wat?! $15 $16???

U sure? Lowest retail price I've heard of was $19. MO price was $18. I buy from Racewerks at Bt Merah at $21, up from $20 previously. On the high side but still affordable lah considering Pulsar need 1 litre nia :thumb:

I'm 22 years old, P-Plate (passed 07/Jun/07 ) - they had me TPFT AXA - about $750. But at almost the same point of time this year i called Universal and quoted the same specs and they charged $100-$200 more than GHC which i found that shouldn't be the case for the distributor to charge more?

I'd definitely try to go down this saturday to check the price out for the Maxima Extra @ Mah Motors - seen somewhere in somebody's blog that Mah's now selling $20 a bottle already. Biketech21 (further down the street) sells Maxima Extra @ $19 a bottle.

I really do feel like changing to rear discs! That should set us back about $200 doesn't it?

Rainy days try not to order pizza/kfc/macdonalds.

Rear disc brakes u need to change the rim n add a caliper for the brakes. oso the right footrest will have to be changed... its not a ez job.

For UG3, if ur trip meter resets by itself, means u DID NOT wait for the RPM to turn 1 round before the 0km/h shows... u already started to crank ur engine.

Pulsar comes wif both electric n kick start. most kick start bikes can still operate w/o batt. cos once the kick start is used to start the engine, the dynamo/ magnetic coil takes over the job of providing electricity to the entire bike including recharging the battery.

For UG3 i think oso possible. but u can see nothing on the meter hahaha.

My UG3 is second hand. but so far the speedo in particular havent given me any problems. all still going strong.

EO dun reduce vibrations imho... tuning does.

Tomolo nite im going jb to top up ard 12am leaving AMK. anyone 1 2 meet me heehee...im going after work.

bro paiseh... the box is a mystery to me man... all i noe it controls almost everything. 1 2 open it u got to cut it open leh...

Good idea.

Some moron broke my left rear signal light at my carpark on Sat nite  . I suspect he tried to squeeze his bike between my bike & another bike. Spent $18 + $3 labor charge + 7% GST to get replacement. Not to mention the 1hr+ spent waiting at Bajaj service ctr + travelling time spent + petrol wasted for nothing .....

i seriously tink they shld absorb the gst for small items like semi syn EO i bottle $10 stilll got gst. other shops no gst at $10 per bottle.

Alex, how's ur always-on signal lights? Any prob so far? If no prob, u think u can do for me at the DIY session?

pm me for details. coz i spent alot of money to get the mod done. at the end of the day, it might not be worth while

my rpm also gone case lol.

check battery? when battery is weak, rpm anyhow run

Just lubed my chain with Maxima Chain Guard & a toothbrush - i wonder if anybody uses WD-40 for that? Or clean with WD-40 first, then wipe with cloth, next use chain lube to coat and then let run at Gear 1.

nv use WD40. if wan to wash chain can use diesel. i always use diesel to wash chain. wanna join me? :D

bro paiseh ur electronic flasher looks cool but the price not so cool leh. hahahaha

i also dun like the price. but after buying 2 flasher ($5 each) from ah boy and both cant even last a day, i decided to spend a bit more get some quality stuff :cheer:

No more regrets.

The bike parking lot in front of my blk has only 5 lots but usually up to 7 bikes are squeezed together :faint:

So next time, u better park at the lot behind my blk instead .....
