Im backz!

Got good news n bad news once again.

Bad News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Method 1 - totally OUT. cos i tapped straight from the Fuse, battery or watever wire that carries current, the condenser CAN make the signals blink when the key is in "off" position BUT the speedometer is powered on with the neutral light blinking oso. When turned on the ignition, yes the signals can blink but the neutral lights remain normal. Meaning... if u on hazard lights using method 1, no need key to power ur bike, juz on the hazard switch, ur lights, speedo, everything can be powered on... not a good idea right???

Method 3 - the one that was dependant on the signal switch b4 turning on another switch to turn on hazard lights. I DIY that on my bike and was working fine only to realised that since UG3 has auto signal cut off, if u turn the handlebar, both signals N hazard lights will be cut off. so, in case u really in emergency n some basta** shift ur bike, the hazard lights will be cut off. However the con for this method 3 is no additional relay/condenser is needed.

Good news.

Method 2 - Converted my existing method 3 style to method 2. Works impressively well, turn handlebar no cutting off of hazard lights. however, an additional relay/condenser is needed. 1 little disadvantage. An additional condenser is added into the circuit BUT when u signal left or right WITH hazard lights on, the hazard lights will double blink alternately, meaning, 1 blink ok 1 double blink. BUT if no signal is put on, juz mainly hazard lights, it works superbly fine. This method need condenser, DPST switch, Wires(alot of them- maybe ard 2m?) and connectors(at least 6 connector clips.).......

So peeps i say we go for method 2... anyone objects?

N the most interesting thing... i found that lone wire to tap the current from... which im oso impressed hahahahahahahahahaahaha. Its a secret only to be revealed on the DIY day~ hahahahahaahahaha

Hopefully i can find a dude who can mod an RX-Z foot rest for use on my bike. :)

Gonna see if i can shorten the rear signal light by removing the rubber, making it rigid. intefering with my side boxes. :/

Bro, for method 1, is it possible to add a diode at signa's the wire that goes back to the bike's control box. Maybe can block the signal from your hazard light circuit. My idea is to isolate the hazard light circuitry from the bike's main circuitry. Maybe that con solve the problem of the whole console lighting up.

I dun really know your detailed connection, so it's just guess work on my part.:cheeky:

Sorry to cause any inconvenience to the helpful brudders here, but i still prefer the method 1. My reason is that i need to stop by the road side to draw money from atm. Can't possibly leave my keys on the bike while i draw money right. we can actually try to conceal the switch a bit so that it will not attract too much unwanted attention.

Bro paiseh...

U r actually correct my bike got alarm hahahahaha. I oso dun understand y tap from fuse battery neva on ignition the bike can still start doesnt really make sense but UG3 like i said is unique.

Ieven trace the fuse wire to another electrical box at the rear part of the bike n tapped the current wire, same thing... hazard lights on speedo got light bike can start

Bro joajas : adding a diode? to me it is making the whole circuit more complex. but that's a good idea. but is there any avaliable no need to solder diode avaliable?

I think method 2 seems good. if pple at nite touch touch ur bike then realised got hazard they juz simply leave it on blinking the whole nite? 5-6 hours? i think the next day ur battery sure weak n need to kick start. but with an ignition key needed to be in on position b4 hazard lights can on, is diff.

Agree? ATM draw money juz leave key inside 5 mins so far no pple lost their bikes in this way rite?

Bro, diode I think about it, it think dun really work cause very troublesome to get the correct diode for our application. If you check out my picture link in the previous thread you will notice there is actually another drawing, using the same concept except that the diode is replaced with a relay.

http://sg.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bab...cd.jpg&.src=ph

I know those electronic relays do come in that configuration, but I not so sure about heavy duty ones for bikes.

For the problem that you are encountering, after what you did with your connections to the erp unit, I can say most likely is the problem of signals flowing back to the bike's circuitry.

That's because erp wires goes straight to the battery (at least that's the case for my bike). So to confirm your findings you can do an experiment by connecting the battery straight to the signal lights you might get the same problem. Sorry that I can't do much about the hands on part cause I don't really know how to take apart the bike.

From my little experience while do the horn, I think that to really do the wirings professionally, we need to take out the petrol tank and the headlight unit. all wirings are underneath this 2 things.

I am not really worried about people "turning on the switch" problem. I can always find a place that's out of publics' eyes to mount the switch. I also prefer to have the hazard light function like that of a car. When hazard light is on, turn signals dun affect the hazard light.

"ATM draw money juz leave key inside 5 mins so far no pple lost their bikes in this way rite?" I think that people who do this is risking getting their bikes stolen. I always try to avoid this kind of situations.
