Bro.... dun let the package fool you lah...

Basicall.. just make sure that the Polarity is correct when you connect to the battery... the rest it is more like plug and play.

You cannot really connect wrongly because the cables are colour coded and connectors cannot "connect" when connected wrongly. I think you will spend more time tidying the cables and looking for a suitable place to fix the ballast.

If you are really concern, get a bike shop to do it for you... I know one shop that fix up HIDs for only SGD10. A rider got his 2 bikes (1 scooter and 1 cruiser) done there using the HID he bought from me.

Zod... regarding your questions last time...

1. The cables comes with anti-heat sleeves

2. I am not sure of the generation of the current HID becos I am not sure of the "Generation" standards (dun seem to be able find much info on it when I googled). According to their factory product upgrade, there was 5 upgrades before this current model over the years, making this their 6th Generation HID (which I suspose is not relevant to the international standards) :cheeky:

Hope it helps

Hey guys, my friend modified S4 with HID was caught by tp during a roadblock last sat. He is due for inspection this week at LTA to determine his non conformance than LTA will follow up with the penalty, so i was told by him and now he regret to do his bike headlight up. So u guys be careful, look like TP/LTA is doing their best to recoup back our progressive package. I tink TP told him HId not allow in car and bike unless come standard.

Hi DC,

Thanks for the info. And yes, HID is only allowed if it comes stock in car. Bikes, no.

No more regrets.

To address the issue of legality; in fact, we can build an on/off switch to disable and enable the HID. that is to say, we only on the HID when we need it, eg in msia/touring. and in spore road, we can use normal halogen bulb.

No more regrets.

:sian: just wana ask u guys, HIDs lighting is very good for total darkness area. But then does ur HIDs lighting get washout by the yellow street lights or cars travelling besides u, making the HID lights redunant. Any solution to this?

i saw the new hi/low system.., its like a capping which shield the light... low beam.. its cap will shield the top of the bulb... then high beam.. the shield will cover the bottom of the bulb...

unless u go 2 bulbs.. u can allocate 1 as hid n another as halogen...then install a switch on them...

ur previous HID set is an old set. But i dint see the hi/lo function u mentioned. Maybe the pic is too small.

I tink it would be ok to install HID and not use it in spore. For me, i only on the HID when needed. i.e touring, msia etc.

I mean when we install HID; since its bright, we haf the responsibility not to use it unnecessaerily.

No more regrets.

My experiences on HID on spore road is that the white light produced by the HID in front of us is not really tat 'bright' compared to the yellow light from the street lamps. becoz the lightings on spore rd seriously is more den enough. Thus, it does make HID kinda futile in spore except for the 'wow' factor.

On contrary, u may be able to see a vast difference the moment u r on msia road or while at high speed touring. the brightness of the HID is a very big advantage.

Tat is why i dun see a need to on HID on spore road.

No more regrets.
