Thanks guys  You all have been helpful.

I just ring up Motoworld. They are selling the high beam, low beam and high/low beam type. I told them what I need is to shine far during my night trip in malaysia, but in spore I still can stick to the usual "not so bright" stock low beam. They quote me $690. Reasonable?

Holy sh*t ..............$690 too expensive loew laaaaaaaaaaa even if they are for a pair of 2 HIDs. Pls go check those H4 Hi/Lo HIDs system installed on to Zod & Paiseh bikes. They are more reasonably priced & also provide U with sufficient all weather lighting for your Malaysia rides. Do join them for their Cheese Crab Outing 2molo nite & see the effect for yourself. U will not be disappointed........... :goodluck: :goodluck: :goodluck: :goodluck:

Mr. Cheeko, wat wrong wif yr reflector - is your reflector damage or corroded ??

Wat is the projected light beam like ? There maybe some other problems, did U

noticed any difference b4 U install ur HID set ?

I really dun think installing 2 set of HIDs will help in your case.

:? its not corroded or damage, but my original reflectors are fook up, it diffuses & wasted all my lights when i'm using the stock lights. The HIDs are much better then the stock, this i can't deny. But still i miss the great performance of my FJR1300 stock lights. :pity: Can shine far & wide

Too bad i'm unable to join PASIR GUDANG cheese crab outing this weekend, if not i would have like to have a look at those bikes with single or ZOD's twin HIDs. I think theirs also same like mine, can shine wide but not far.

well, i travelled 240km/hr ALONE to kulai b4 w/o HID on. an actual left bend seems right bend. tat is how dangerous it is. after tat i on HID, (1 HID installed at tat time), everything became very clear to me. u may wan to ask why i did that. seriously, im trying out the potential of HID. u may say im crazy but u dun try who will know?

moreover, how OFTEN do u travel on msia road ALONE? not to mention on touring trips. because lightings from neighbouring bikes are enough for u even w/o HID on. so seriously how far do u wan to throw ur light may i ask?

conclusion is obvious, i need not say more. 1 HID is more den enough.

P/S: Unless u wanna try go track in the night.

No more regrets.

OMFG! brother, wat bike are u riding? the only original HID with HI/Lo beam is H4. the rest with HI/Lo beam are all modified.

Well that depends actually.. It maybe a conservative ride on a FJR during lazy nights. Or if some nights with craze for big speed it will be a ZX12.. Main reason in need of a light that shines far.. very far..

seriously i tink u shld try with 1 HID first to see the effect b4 deciding to spend so much on other kinds of lightings. u might be satisfied with the light 1 HID can provide.

if really cant shine far for u, den u can try other lighting systems :goodluck:

No more regrets.

Some Ducati models also use these Projector Type headlamps - these " Driving light beam " shines veri far but the wide angle visiblity suffers as a result. ... :giddy: :giddy: :giddy: :giddy:

actually the best headlight system in my opinion would be 1000K3, 600/750 K4/5. and haya

they have a projection headlamp as lo beam and a normal reflector headlamp casing as high beam. able to shine far and wide.

No more regrets.

Went down to the shop today. Got a few Crystal Gold bulbs from limbat. Nice chaps down there. Saw a demo of the HID. Really really really tempted sia to install one for my super4. Comes with a switch to swap from HID to Halogen (Tactical Purposes). Have u gone thru inspection with them yet? Dammit... I WANT!!!!

I'll be sure to return another time at the new shop i guess. Thanx again bro Limbat and good luck with the new shop

I was informed that its abt $190 for just a H4 HID kit WITHOUT the tactical halogen switch. About $240 for a H4 HID kit WITH the halogen. And about $220 for a H7 HID kit. Was checking out for my 636 as well lah. But the H7 kit does not come with the halogen switch.

I think it is the other way round - abt $190 for a H7 HID kit. And about $220 for a H4 HID kit WITHOUT the tactical halogen switch.

Last - $240 for a H4 HID kit WITH the halogen function.
