btw orange, if u take care of ur bike like ur wife... she wont give u much probs... ride the bike for a year, the onli prob i had was leaking coolant... got it change for $150 last year... so far good to go... no complain for my bike...love her lot lot... mayb not mush prob coz bought her at 1st hand... hopefulli its prob free...

hi... ur fwen leaking was from where? mine was the tubing and the water keep coming out from the air vent area...till the bike overheat... got mine fix at at tai hin at that point of time... u could go to sunrise or future for quoting too... hope ur fwen bike get better... take care...

anwy i wanna ask st 200 FBC plate 5500 with leovince pipe i dunno which version.. but seems ok, on the road $6768.61 not including the pipe inspection. its it cheap???

if ur into mods, the parts are expensive... as wat ninja sae, aftermarket stuff are expensive... gilera is like a girl, if u like a gurls to look good, sound good, perform good, the more modding u will do... but if ur just into transport or into auto bike, maintaining it is a lil expensive... wat ninja sae is incorrective...the bike come with a manual..

 

every 3000km, change Engine oil, Oil filter, spark plug and one more thing i forget coz mine is ST 200... for me, i change it every 4000km - 5000km.. cost $55.. this is normal servicing...

 

every 12000km - 15000km, full servicing is needed.... it change belting, roller EO, Oil filter spark plug and etc... it cost $200...

 

it took me 10 months to do full service... doesnt travel much...but i stay in jurong, werk at changi...haha...

 

 

Yah what this bro say is true as i also use it as a auto transport bike and i find the servicing is ok for me as is reasonable and not as ex as my other bike.

Hello gilera bros and sisters.... few things i wud like to enquire and i haf the feeling has been asked and answered numerous times but i tried looking fer the thread but haf no luck or i'm jus an idiot....

1) anyone here knows or has done naked handlebar set up?( wic shop/how much/how is it?)

2) looking fer the front panel horn cover with the gilera figure 8 logo/badge fer vxr 200 after 06 model as i know this model comes with the big red metallic gilera logo want to change cos some M#@%$#%F#$%R stole dat logo and tried forcing the front panel out made a big crack and crack my front mudguard as well..... please help me....

Ooo my friend had a similar prob, but his was leaking from under his bike, i suspect the tubing oso, his bike oso overheated. Anyway thx for ur ur help, will advise him to go to the shops u mentioned, thx ...

was wondering, is it hard to maintain? as in how much will it be total up, to the normal maintanece of a 2b bike.

 

and gilera vxr200 have alot of verions, i dont really know which is good n what are their looks.

and what is the diff between vxr200 n st200?

wat ur frens say is true, to a lot of extent. besides e expensive maintenance, u have to be wary of quality control issues. in other words, like wat some of them have said abt their leakin coolant thingy and noises coming from brakes. these kinda things bound to happen in gilera and other similar italian bikes. (but i highly doubt so for names like ducati!)

 

so be wise my fren. take ur time to decide. furthermore, there are limited shops who are capable of handling gileras.

is it ok to have backfires. my st200 got alot of backfires when i close the trottle. using leovince 4road. n how much must the millege be to servicing n changin of belting.

Changing of belt imo is abt 13000 to 15000 km. Engine oil change is abt 6000km. Backfire could possibly be cause by air leakage or something. Not pretty sure but look around the ST200 forum and im sure u can get the answers.
