anyway it is not sprayed black colour. It comes original with black coating only and the underside is white.

I also have problem start my ST200 every time it rest more that 4 hour+- on night time cold wether.. but no problem start during hot afternoon.. so when it hard to start, that time I trotel a bit.. but my friend say " it can over flow if U do that..

But now I know 1 method to easy start my ST200, " just shake it to the back and that to the front"( ofcause when it on main stand) just once or twice. that means we shift the patrol in the tank.. after that it easy to start.. U try after that give a feed back..

I encounter the same situation daily, morning, day and night.

 

For my case, it depends on the temperature that is shown at the temperature gauge, if its 3 or 4 bar and above, one time start without throttling is possible, but lets say its only 1 or 2 bar, you might wanna throttle it above 1.5 for a few seconds to keep it running.

 

i guess each bike has its own mood and patterns, we just have to recognize it and adjust accordingly to its 'needs'? It will then serve us better in that way.

My two cents.

 

 

Btw, is the auto-start meant for runner since we need to pay extra attention to our bike's startup? Sounds cool to me, wanna try it some days.

my vxr tday kana change magnetic coil n cdi...total $600+...well guess to own an italian babe must have lotsa $$$ sigh...

hi all riders...im riding a 2 stroke gilerra,recently got my picton jam..after repair,it cost me $470..so i just want to find out if its ok,or i got "chopped".

According to the receipt,the repairs are as follow:

 

Piston

Piston pin

Piston bearing

Polish block

Gasket

Labour charge

Total $370

 

Coolant

Belting Only

Total $100

Total Everything:$470

Hi guys, i ride a gilera vxr 06 version, just some quick questions:

 

1) do you all experience heat problems? recently during slow moving traffic, engin would heat up badly and the fan would come on. i changed the coolant alr but still have this problem which i never used to have. is it cos the radiator is not dissipating heat properly? will flushing the radiator improve the condition or is there something else that might be wrong.

 

2) i want to do some mods, just wondering whether integrated tail light is illegal? and if change my air filter to the kind under the seat, how much is the fuel consumption affected?

hello... its normal for the fan start to run wen its hot... dun worry abt that... for the mod of tail light, are u talking abt the led tail light? if ya den it shouldn't be a issue... Air filter also its ok 2 change and the fuel consumption it depend on the setting... ive changed 2 hurricane air filter and so far, the fuel consumtion abt the same... i just share wat i know.. im not a pro anyway... :)

Fan is normal to turn on cos of the heat.. If ur bike temp is hot, but ur fan is not turning, den sumting is wrong...

For led tail lights, by right, it is illegal to take something original out from tje bike and fix it wif some aftermarket accessories.. During inspections, it all depends....

 

Mods: basic mods will be, exhaust pipe and air filters... To play ard first, change ur air filters first, den u noe how the oil consumption will be.. To name a few, malossi, polini, knn, hurricane, etc.... Adding a aftermarket xhaust pipe, add just a lil bit of performance to ur bike and to make ur bike sound more nicer...

Actually, most stuff at our bikes are illegal.. Short side mirrors, tail lights, anything not original can be considered illegal and are liable f0r summons....

Mirrors no... its definitely illegal if you dun have mirrors.

Taillight must be working as long as its working its fine.

Well... end of the day it depends if the TP that stopped is guai lan or not

i feel that the price is all right, not every piston jam repairs costs the same. have to see the damage.

Bro, check ur transmission. I had a few friends who had their belt snapped. Damaged other parts of the transmission as well.

nah...u can forget abt auto start...becos i`ve got myself one n its not put into use...but when i got it fix at tai hin...they only tell me that auto start wouldn`t work after i`ve fixed the alarm...

 

as for the start up problem...till today...i`m sorry guys... i tried my best...i even went to the extend to email piaggio italy...even them can`t give me a satisfy ans....so i suppose we guys jus hav to live wit it.....unless...UNLESS.....50% of the runner riders here are willing to gather up n meet up at the Piaggio`s local agent n screw them up.... :angel:

Hi all. Been a long time since i come to this forum. Was thinking of getting ST200 Runner for transport. Can i check wid you guys why i always see ppl going Piaggio Service Centre to service their bike? Dont they go to their workshop and service? is it free or because they know the bike settings better?

 

Still doing research on this model of bike before i buy it. =D
