GILERA runner VXR 200 workshop

Hi friends!

Im a new rider for runner vxr200 year 2005

Few simple things I like ask

1) is the high beam light on the left side or right? I notice the reflectors have a diff pattern.(where L or R is determined by the signal)

2)how offen/what distance do u guys change belting?

3)my tripometer is jammed at 100km. Changed a 2nd hand meter same prob after a week. Bad luck or bikes problem? Is it common?

4)as u can see, I dun trust my garage, time to defect! Any good(nt too ex) garage to recommend?

5)thinking of changing to LV 4road, will it affect my milage?

My 3 years old gilera st200 recently throttle not behaving, it always got jam or stuck after I open it, just like car having cruise control. Anyone got any solutions? Need to replace throttle cable? Any good motor repair shop to recommend or should I go back to agent?? Many thanks!!

I ride a Gilera. My rear shock absorber is leaking. Can anyone advise is it possible to repair the shock absorber by replacing the rubber seal? If can, which workshop does it?

 

Does anyone know where can I get shock absorber wrap for Gilera scooter?

i heard that stock shocks are unserviceable. therefore is adviseable to replace it to bitubo.

wrap can be purchase from auntie shop or 219 which are located near jalan besar.

either is ur throttle grip or ur throttle cable has worn, ride safe!

i think your throttle grip, did you change your grip balancer? do you put back the spacer?

The problem is mainly cause by Rust. I believe is just small problem and you can solve it just in a minute.

 

1. Just unscrew the L-key, add a o-ring will solve the problem. If you need help, call me, i can explain more clear to you on the phone, cheers.

If you are using on Original absorber, it not worth to repair. A original set does not really cost so much, your Gilera also have YSS (est. cost $250+++) and Bitubo ( $420+++) suspension if you are willing to pay higher prices.

1. high beam is on the left upper one.

2. recommended 12000km as to protect the CVT transmission

3. got to check

4. got to check to see what is the best solutions

5. it depend how you ride

For belt, we check every 6000, when doing engine oil change ,roller, uclip.

Oringinal belt($80) is recommended change on 12000km, malsossi kelvar belt($100) can go for 18000km. So what u think?

Never trust to workshop u dunno even u know, there are business man. Check more shop for clarify.

Exhaust will not much affect your f/c, is more depend ur driving habit like kenny said, unless u up jet your carburetor.

MY highbeam lights up at the right side. . . guess i gotta get it swapped out

so to confirm, the H1 bulb is normal and H7 bulb is high beam?

also like to ask, when should i change my EO? and what on earth is a uclip?

just swap your headlight socket. engine change on 6000km.

headlight bulb is H8, better buy at car work shop or spare part shop, cheaper than buy at motorcycle shop. it's command use on car spot/fog light.

Got a friend recommend me to this work shop call Motor Factor. The shop owner owned a VXR too. Anything can ask him regarding your issue. His shop is at Ubi. Cool and nice guy. Shop is located after De xin bike shop near the exit.

My gilera runner suddenly turned on its dashboard by itself while *** the keys are not inserted ***. I had to put the key back in and restarted the bike to make sure that it’s ok and I turned it back off.

 

Background: I drove the bike for less than 10 minutes from home to the office and the temperature gauge has not yet reached its normal range. I had to open the seat and put it back by dropping the seat instead of gently closing it. This is when I noticed that the dashboard suddenly turned on. Only the dashboard lights were on but not the headlights.

 

Additional Info: I'm using the service key and the bike is only 3 months old and had 1,300+ on its ODO.

huh??.... likely is your fuel sensor got problem cos i know that once full, it will automatically reflect back to full
