Hi to all Bandit lovers!

 

Didn't know there is this club thing going until now. Guess I had been out of town or rather out of the country too long.

 

I will love to join the club if application is still open

 

I have a GSX1200 which is very very similar to Bandit 12 except that it is a naked street sport. They share the mainly the same parts and performance specs. I probably will return to SGP in July or August this year.

 

My good old GSX (actually I only enjoy it for 10 mths ) is stored at the bike shop and I am not in a hurry to trade it off on my return. So can you good fellows here recommend a list of mods, upgrades and accessories for me to ponder upon while I have my count down to my ridding times again.

suddenly there r alot of new frenz here.that is great guys. do u guys noe tat there got bandit V as in FR plate? my frenz found it n it cost ard 2.8k leh... i tink this is the youngest bandit V in sg...

Thinking of changing my chain and sprocket as the edge of the teeth is eating in. Dunno how to explain la. Just plan to just as a precaution.

Any advice?

i did my sproket n chain (rk xo ring + vaz sproket at hkl) for $180. guess wat? within 1 month, the stupid front sproket spoilt n it cost me another $120 to get it fixed at guan hoe. i swear man, hkl's sh*t is not worth it

Yah from wht rocketman say i will definately avoid HKL hahah

one less shop to hunt. Was thikning if there is such thing as SGP orginal sprocket or not? Material wise for the sprocket oso important. I dun go for performance but durability if some of u guys may wonder how to advice me.

 

BTW wht u do with $1200 ??

 

Rocketman ur additional $120 doen at Guan Hoe is jsut the sprocket?

chee teck u riding bandit v??u can chk at lembu rd there's one shop selling motobike parts,somemore they refer to manual to chk what is the part number,last time i ask my frt sporket(with rubber in the center) & rr sporket it cos $120...(normal bandit 400).the shop i think it call eversucess,u go in by desker rd then u will see one lane call lembu rd.try chk it out... :goodluck:

Me is P model the old one...think i will go down guanhoe n buy original stuff la...extra a bit money pay for peace of mind hehe

wat i do ah?tat time i got write down here.a very long msg but dunno y the server down or wat lah,my msg din posted.

one of my cod rod broken n it hit my engine shell till crack out and the part tat crack is btw the joint of the shell.so is a very diffcult job 2 go.the shop tat help me repair have 2 sub 2 other car workshop 2 join the shell back 2 prefect.when he open up,he found out alot of part wear off.my time chain have 2 change,all the screws spoil due 2 wear n tear,casket have 2 change(once open engine cant use back the old 1) the other rod abit off line like wear off so have 2 smoothen back.he show it 2 me the spoil parts.

so sad.i din take gd care off it.

the workmanship he charge me ard $400.

repair 4 one whole month leh.tink of changing bike but dunno wat 2 change coz i really like bandit V alot and no $$.sad 2 change it...

any suggestion of bike ofr a trade in without paying???

how come bandit now no value..!!??yesterday i asking how much they take my bandit if i want to take honda steed springer,and the ans is "bandit dun want!!"....hehehehe what a bike ahh...but i saw there alot of bandit on the road.by the way BANDIT IS STILL THE BEST!!!!! :bouncefire:

yah, power to the bandit! now me thinking of going down on tuesday afternoon or weds morn. Howz that wif u guys?

now i only can run the most 100km/h. and dare not drag the gear. the most i go is 6.5 rpm.

the sound is diff now.very loud and when i try 2 drag,it becum more louder so dare not drag lor...

ok, i thought u were selling yrs away hence the sale. Ok, will look thru the garage thread.

 

 

Update

Right now, my bike doesnt hav the sputtering problem like spark plug prob but the story is like this.

Starting the bike is slightly difficult, hav to crank slightly longer and turn more throttle before the bike starts up. Now when the throttle is constant, the bike is ok but the moment it is on idle, the engine dies.

 

Now to start it up wld require me to switch off the ignition and leave the bike for a while before i can start it again, prob a min or 2. I think itz the battery so I will hav to take a look at that.

 

2nd problem is the engine sounds rough when at low rpms. sounds like something is funny so i wld probable hav to compare wif some of u guys the next time round.

 

Itz guan hoe here I come but no $$ at the moment.
