I'm selling my black Givi wind shield for $50, just got it from another forumer 2 weeks ago. The Givi logo is missing because previous owner send to shop to respray black to match his bike. There are some minor scratches on the left side, but no cracks, can be touch up easily. All the screws are intact, installation is very easy no modification required. Reason for selling, going to install something more radical. Contact me @ 96411722 to deal.

Maybe carburetion is too rich/lean, what is the color of your plug, is there alot of carbon(rich) or is it very white (lean).

Are you using the correct spark plug? change to a hotter plug when you are doing more city riding, lesser chance to foul. GSF400P standard plug is NGK CR9EK or Denso U27ETR, I am using NGK CR8EK and U24ETR.

This few days its been raining, if the rubber seal on your plug cap are worn or not fixed properly chances are water may get in. This is a common problem I read from the forum, you may want to check that also.

Btw KS dun carry CR9EK spark plugs, if want to use the standard plug try denso U27ETR

Standard CR8EK la :p

Your manual is for 92 GSF400N model, the manual for 93 GSF400P model states CR9EK. Btw spore only import P model, check your log card to confirm. Generally there is not much change between P model and the earlier model, except for some minor changes in the engine department. And the earlier bandit redline start only after 14k.

Today I installed the gsxr750 suspension sucessfully with Chee Teck aka Kenneth.

The procedures are as follow.

1. Put the bike on centre stand.

2. Place a block of wood under the rear wheel, this is to provide leveage for removing the nut(14mm) holding the suspension.

3. Loosen the nut and remove the nut and bolts be prepare to catch the falling bandit rear shock, and slowly wiggle it out.

4. Remove the block of wood and push the rear of the bike down, you should hear a loud 'tak' sound as if something is broken but dont worry

5. Slide in the GSXR750 rear shock, and put in a bolt and nut on top to hold the shock.

6. Have someone to lift the rear wheel and then you installed the bolt and nut at the bottom.

7. Tighten up all the nuts and route the cannister under the right side rear grab rail and tighten with cable ties

8. Check the hose are free from obstruction and sharp objects.

9. Reassemble everything and enjoy the ride.

Note: Need to remove the seats, fuel tank, air box, coolant reservoir, rear cowling, battery

Also I have installed the K&N filter, SU008, today, need to push the air filter into the grooves else you wont be able to close the air box cover.

The bike feels very light at higher speed compare to the OEM filter, not sure if its my imagination also the ride is better perhaps with the new rear shock less bouncy.

No worries, I break things on my bike too when I start to DIY, that is where we learn and improves.

Havent complete, just ride to work without headlight and a big bunch of wires exposed.

Found out the raptor 'Sai Tao' right buld holder has melt and the bulb is blown too due to the poor wiring. Need to get replacement and solder all the wire and connector tomorrow night. The 'Sai Tao' cannot be fit on the existing bandit headlight holder and its very ugly even if it can fit because its too low and protruding out too much.

I plan to mount the thing on the fork upper triple clamp, hence the bandit head light bracket can be dump, (reduce weight) also got space to mount loud horns.

Overall still a good buy $20 for Sai tao and S4 signal lights(free).

Next time when replacing steering cone, I will ask ask the mech to remove the mounting bracket for the orignal bandit signal light(reduce weight) and install a mini blinkers (looks nicer).
