Yo X-iled,

so many ppl ask tis, ask tat in your thread bro. I feel the best way to communicate on this darkside issues is still the traditional way of face2face talk lah.

How abt a meetup for your thread?

Anyone got question, wondering how, what, can or cannot do, got wonderful idea/s or just wanna admire can come down on that night to meet you and your creations lah. (make sure all your creations can be present on that day) - sori 'Night'

Good for Riot's networking too.

And to keep it as dark as the night itself, i suggest the meet up known as (fACE2fACE wif the Darkside) announcement shall be made via PMs only. Those who wanna come down must PM you. U shall then inform that person the actual place. "TOP SECRET"

Waddya think bro?

hahaa.. i had this thought for a long time already too.. didnt put it into action as i didnt know how responsive this would be. i wanted it to be like a exchange platform for kustom enthusiasts. ppl come with bikes modded and talk about what they did. things like that. i tried that in the past response was good initially but it soon died down as it became more like a zoo exhibit than a discussion platform... so this time round if we can really make this a exchange platform.. it might kick start the backstreet kustom scene in sg.

i'm good with the idea of making it an invite only meet up. invite meaning not exposing the meet up locations la.. we have to maintain stealth mode. lol.. hell if this works.. we might even be organizing our own meet ups with proper codewords and such.. feel more exclusive and sense of belonging to the kustom community.

one thing to note though. i;m no guru.. i'm jus like any of u out there .. jus that i am a tiny bit more extreme. hahaha.. i know theres a usual bunch of kustom riders who always meet up.. ppl like killswitch, wakan, jumat.. jus to name a few from the group.. how about the others? any one out there is interested in such a meet up? no point organizing and see the same faces... we need fresh blood.

Fresh Blood.....yeah.....we do need to live our life passionately. In this case, if we love custom choppers then let it come true not just dream only aite! But I forsee that Exiled now going to be overloaded by lots of pple there who wants to custom thier bike. Its a good sign but I think we need more chopper/bobber bike builders. Is there anyone out there other than RIOT to give a hand?

why dun you join us too? judging from your mentality, it seems like you will be the safest of the lot should a TP really drop by.. so you dun have to worry bro... YOU are safe! hahaha

u wont have to worry for us too, if we have enough balls to mod.. we will have enough balls to answer the consequences. right. lets hear some real comments on this meet up issue.

i really have to give u a very big thumbs up man for your masterpeice. its truely an amazing work judging from the pictures.. i'm so envy~ if only the authority is less strict on custom mods, its not like u guys mod to make it go way faster than normal speed anyway rite?? its for the appearance~

exactly bro. we have always been penalized for looking different. compare us to those who keep the stock look but mod the engines into crotch rockets AND then misuse the machine... who is more lethal?

inject proper common sense into the building of your parts as in how to secure properly..and strengthen the part with proper techniques... i dun see why our kinds of mods will become a hazard on the road.

anyway bro if there really is a meet up.. it wont be jus confined to bobbers or cruisers.... i am a big fan of street fighters and cafe racers myself. your bike is a good candidate for a streetfighter conversion.. lol

I share the same sentiments bro, I have always feel that modding your ride looks won't make them go faster or pose any danger to others, unless the mod is really to the extreme causing lethal threat to others. Anyway, if there is a meetup, please drop me a PM ya. Cheers!

no offence bro about the comment. i'm definitely balls enough for some hardcore serious modification and customization. what makes us different, makes us beautiful. dont ya agree?

however, i still low level la.. haha. not enough funds, not enough qualification for mods too. currently i'm thinking of what i wanna get for my 2A license... and i'm actually putting dragstar as a highly possible candidate. and reading from all your previous posts, a draggie modi would be cool. and when i manage to get my hands on a good piece of machine, i'll definitely come to you!

and ups for your creativity and passion-pursuing attitude. singapore can really use more of these sort of people.

yeah.. thats the way u should have spoken bro.. ppl who do mods in the grey areas like us know what kind of trouble we could get into..we dun really wanna hear things like getting into sticky situations with the modification laws..so consistent reminders about summons to us jus shows u to be like the rest.... its not that we dun care about summons..its not an act of defiance definately ..its jus that sometimes.. expressing ourselves and being who we are overrides it. theres too many in sg that follow the norm. its the first batches that start something different that can truly say they braved the storm. i apologise too for my sacarstic reply. peace bro

regarding mods, theres no level man.. hhaha.. i started form nothing.. i'm still no where now.. hahaha still jus a hobby.. so a kustom mod guru, i cannot be.. however, sharing of knowledge and what i know, ahh.. thats something i still can manage.

if u dun mind me talking too much then maybe i could tell u more about which bikes to choose for mods.. what are the basic lines to look for.. things like that.. hahaha.. if theres a meeting.. u'll be in the pm list. lol.

sure dude.. many thanks for that. but will have to wait for some time since i'm enlisting and have a very limited 2b license.

Hi hi...Nojam...I guess what X-ilED is trying to tell you is to watch what you are saying bro...Only if you know what you are talking about and be sure of it, then you say it...Nothing to do with sensitivity or anything like that but it's all a matter of being sure of what you have to say, that's all bro...Cheers and since you say that you are enlisting, good luck bro...

the tank you could get that shape with a normal tank stretch. it would be alot trickier for the forks. unless u are willing to spend an arm or a leg to import raked triple trees (fork clapms), sorry to say u wont be able to achieve this stretch fork. one other way is to cut your neck and alter the rake angle.. illegal and unsafe if u do not know how much to adjust and weld properly. its not simply jus adding those "fork extenders" to your fork tubes.. they jus lengthen your forks.. they dun push your forks further to the front instead they tilt the angle of your bike higher...they are infact not really safe as well if u look at the stress points on a fork tube.

stretch front ends also changes the way the bike handles. very very stable ride on straight roads.. balls shrinker on bends. if u exceed the proper trail figures, the ride could be very unstable and sluggish as a result. (search rake and trail if u are interested to know more)

bottom line, tank stretch absolutely no problem. raked triple trees.. unless u are willing to invest in the new set of trees and longer fork tubes..

thank you for the explanation. ya i saw you bike with stretch tank. it sweet. i just found the tank from above picture has been cut the bottom side to more slimmer. i guess a lot of work to be done if we cut the tank.

i try to find the rake triple trees in google. found the price range between $600-$2000. got 6, 7 even 10 degree. but somehow my feeling says the bike above has more than 10 degree. btw anyone ever bought the triple trees in singapore before?

bro X-iled, i got another question. how to make the bike so low like the above bike?

that tank if i'm correct has had its seams removed. thats why it looks like its slimmer. the stretch jus followed the rest of the lines.

i dun think anyone sells raked triple trees here. u can try the harley shops.. but.. if u are rding jap, u cant fit. needa mod.

judging formt he extent of modification and the way the fender is mounted, i'm guessing this guy is having air shocks on. in stationery position, u can lower the bike till the fender touches the tire.. when u wanna ride, inflate the shocks and u ill be at ride height. again, air shocks are expensive.

there are a few ways to achieve the low look.

1) hardtail your bike.

remove the rear suspension and replace with a soild metal bar. ride will be bumpy but u can go as low as your fender can accomodate without fear of bottoming out.

2) use shorter springs.

feasible but there is a limit as to how low u can go. u will still risk bottoming out and hitting your fender.

3)attach your fender to your swingarm

something which i have been doing for my mods. the fender can go very close to the tire giving u a bobber look. but u will need to know how to mount it

hey bro, i was thinking, u've been doing more on metal and steel..

have u tried molding other material other than those? coz' u mention ur a fan of streetfighters and cafe riders as well.. but mostly their bike is not as metallic as cruisers and bobbers.. hehe just curious

i can play with fibreglass if thats what u are asking. did a fender with fibreglass b4.. jus that i found the mould creation process was not cost effective for one off projects.. too much time taken to make the mould. thats why i havent had much practice with that process.

i actually found metal to be easier to manipulate than fibreglass.. ahhaha.. for fibregalss, u ned to get the mould right in order to produce proper pieces.. doesnt really allow for major corrective work after its set. metal on the other hand.. allows for more alterations.. my 2 cents la...

wow, never think of air shock used on bike. thought only used by car. learn new thing again :cheeky: mmhh think need to find solution for the triple tree :)
