Hi all,

 

Just gotten my Madass this afternoon. The paint work on this fellow is quite jaded and am thinking of getting it resprayed. Any recommendation on where to get it done and the cost of doing it.

saw one at ubi bike shop today, got attracted.

would like to know what is the market price for used one (2008 model)?

i am 1.63m tall, cos noticed the seat is rather high at abt 835mm.

anyone here fitted this bike with a storage box, can share with me how it looks like?

yes, its very high, higher than my diversion tourer. Go holstery shop cut the seat.

I m riding a stock wave125 currently, anyone one happen to have rode it b4, cos wish know e difference between e riding experience with madass.

Eg, comparison in amount in vibration on e highway, handling, max mileage with full tank?

For e wave:

1. for vibration, mild after dropping e rear sproket, however drop in power n pick very much. Was willing to accept that shortfall since I travel 50km a day. Hence appreciate e increased in cruising speed(100km/h). Was hoping madass could come with better power

2. Handling is great for its weight n short wheelbase. Not sure how is that compared wif madass.

3. Able to make 120km b4hitting reserve. But due to its small fuel tank 3.7lit, makes going to e petrol station frequent since I travel 50km each day. Hoping mad can make more with this

 

Appreciate anyone can share ur advise and experiences

Finally got my bike After more then 1 month. Jimmy that old mad ass rider is not worth trusting. Con me to his fren's workshop n I did and end up the workshop close down (loyastar along lavender road) and did not inform me. Keep giving me lame excuse and hide the fact away from me.

 

Got my bike back from sporting. Motor at auto bay. Bike is finall back.

V.nice of you red rocket:) mind I ask what's ur sprocket config now? I m using 41T now. What r ur most significant changes after e chged from stock to 39T? U using 16T for ur front?

Would love hear ur experiences.. and of cos all other madass owners here

I've done the sprocket change (rear only) when the bike was new (one of the first to be on the road), can't remember what was the size. Is 41T stock? I only remember that i went with more than 2 teeth down... more like around 6. Also, remember that 3 teeth rear is almost equivalent 1 tooth front.

so far I try Max is 3 week no touch my bike, is abit hard to start due to no fuel in cab and fuel line after try few time using E start then back to normal... If u still facing problem you may need to use choke it may help.

Sometimes I start my bike once in 2 months...no problems. I don't have a batterey!!! Actually it's dead... for more than a year. Anyway...

 

Try this...

 

1. power off

2. turn fuel tap off

3. choke on

4. Kick several times (more if you left the fuel tap on while parked last night)

5. close the choke

6. kick 2 more times

7. insert key into bike

8. turn power on.

9. turn fuel tap on.

10. KICK !!! (you should get it started in 1~3 kicks)

 

If bike cannot stay started and die soon after then prob your A/F ratio or carb idle is out. Well, anyway that's another issue.

i find our dual lamps not very effective, is it possible to fit led lamps if there is such available, what bike shop does that?
